Make a solution of baking soda. Add 2 teaspoonfulls to 2 cups of water. Put the fish into it. He will slowly pass out. Then put him in a bag and into the freezer. Thats the most humane way to euthanize a fish.

Just found out that clove oil is a good way to sedate and euthanize a fish. Can be bought at any drug store.

I dont think you can use olive oil..it doesnt contain the chemical Eugenol which has some sort of anesthesia property.

A technique you should look at more into though but always more research on your own first.

Freeze water in the fridge till you start seeing ice crystals form, but keep it so that the water is still a liquid. Put water in a cup, throw you sick betta in.

It's not the most humane way, but it puts it out of its misery. Death in 2 seconds tops. 1 sec.

no, but do NOT flush him and do NOT just put him in the freezer, these both will be slow painful deaths. get a cup o cold water and put ice in it, let it sit until the water is really cold. put the betta right from the heater into the cold water, the shock of his tropical water will kill him instantly. however, this only works if you have a heater in his tank.

if not, drinking alcohol works similarly to clove oil supposedly, fill a cup with half his tank water and half with alcohol and place him in it.

Place your fish in a small container of water and place in the freezer. As the water gets colder the metabolism of the fish will gradually slow down until the fish will finally expire

Nooo dont flush. He'll get grinded up really hard in the sewers by these gigantic poop masher thingys. Id say end him quickly. Fish feel pain. Dont use oil thats just like torture. Use a Mallet/Hammer/Maul or any kinda big giant object that can crush him in one hit. Quick and painless

Put him in the freezer. The cold slows their body down until they pass peacefully. Then dispose.
