I don't have a gravel vac, and right now I'm in a situation where I can't afford to spend $5 or more on ANYTHING. My tank needs cleaned, though.

I have a 10 gal, with a lot of plants and a saturated log. I rarely ever have to do anything to my water or anything. I'm also running two filters.

I have four fish.. One Placo, and the rest are Platys. Two just had baby fish and there is poop and stuff EVERYWHERE. My water is still very clear, but the poop is on the gravel..

How can I clean this? Should I take out most of the water, transfer it to another tank, transfer the fish, and rinse it? I don't have a gravel vac, and like I said, I can't afford anything extra right now.. Pleeeeaaasee help. =) Thanks!!

I'm just wondering because I'm allergic to bloodworms, and I think brine shrimp, and I REALLY, REALLY want a betta. So I'm wondering if I can just use my tropical fish food that I use for my guppies, platies and mollies? If not, is there any type of food that DOES NOT contain bloodworms or brine shrimp? Looking for best answer

I realize that I am self-diagnosing her, but here's the deal. She paws at her mouth incessantly. Always on the left side and usually after she eats. If I rub her gums on the right, she's fine. if I rub on the left, she goes into fits of pawing. She has a history of gingivitis. I have had her in for teeth cleanings in the past, and they have removed at least one abscessed tooth in the past. I have had several vets check her mouth thoroughly, and they don't see anything... I would bring her in for a teeth cleaning, but I am concerned about anesthetic because she's in kidney failure. I have read that they will do bloodwork to determine the kidney levels, and that they can administer fluids along with the anesthesia. Anyone have any experience with this? I have waited because I don't want to put her at unnecessary risk. I know, I know, just take her in and ask a vet's opinion. Yeah, yeah. Obviously I will do that. I'm the type of client who likes to be well informed & advocate for my cat.

My shepherd mix 10 months old is a sweet gentle wonderful family pet and a very alert watch dog. She sleeps with me on my bed. When either of my daughters, who are 21 and 16, lay on the couch next to me or I give them a hug, my dog tries to push in between us, trying to climb into my lab to dislodge them. She also will hold their wrist in her mouth to try to pull them off me. It looks like play and she is wagging her tail and having fun? So is it play, jealousy or what?

The leaves on some of the silk plants in my aquarium are turning brown, along with some of the gravel. It's very spotty but I notice more and more brown every day. The aquarium is filtered, not over stocked, I do 25% water changes every week, etc. Everything is otherwise fine. What could be causing this and what can I do to stop it?

My stepson has a cat, and I have 2. My stepsons cat lives on the top floor of my house, and has had little interactions (maybe twice) with my other cats. He is kept sepperate. ONE of my cats goes outside, the other does not.
My stepsons cat is 9, and has begun to lose weight, and hair around his backside, belly, legs and neck. He is constantly scratching, and is bleeding in some spots. There are NO fleas. He is the only cat in the house with these symptoms and they started about a month ago. What would be the cause of this? We don't have a lot of $$$, so what non-veterinary cures are there?

She is a 6 mo. old min pin who is lucky to be alive. She was found by a river with her ears cut & sewn closed with string. She was so skinny that you could see her whole ribcage. She is the sweetest dog ever. Now she deserves a cool name.

1) How do you start/finish the process?
2) Are there any regulations,or limitations concerning breeds? (Arizona)
3) After certification what are the legal rights/benefits concerning travel i.e, can landlords deny you residence if they have a no pets policy, can you use the bus with dog in toe, can I go to class w dog in toe etc.?
4) Are there legal differences between therapy dogs and see and eye dogs? If so what are they?
PS I'm recovering from Bipolar disorder and my peer told me that my psychiatrist can help me establish the right to have a therapy dog as she has, so I'm considering getting a APBT (Americas Dog), but as you see I'm cautious about getting leases and traveling, so any insight will be appreciated, thanks

My kitty (3 year old neutered male) bites my hand regularly. Not agressively. It's more affectionate, if this makes sense. Like when I'm petting him, he'll bite gently on my fingers or my hand, occasionally my arm. Or if he wants attention and I don't drop everything I'm doing (like I know I should) he'll do the same thing. Again, not agressively. Sort of in the same manner that my other cat will lick me.

i dont no why but "men" mostly, seem to always take advantage, just because im a woman! like for instance today i was running my dog,and another dog came in and stole my dogs ball,so my dog growled at the other dog,so i told my 12yr old to grab him coz i didnt want to cause a fight! and the other dog owner started shouting at me.saying put that dog down dont pick it up! your making it worse! so i said.your dogs got his ball.and i dont want my dog to attack your dog! then hes mate said,oh yeah you no dont you( being sarcastic) then i said im sorry but i dont want my dog attacking other dogs! then he said control your dog and he said oh shut up you stupid c*nt! infront of my son....firstly if i want to hold my dog back i will, and whats it got to do with him. i mean what if my dog, attacks a dog. to get his ball back and gets hurt? i know for a fact that if my son had let my dog go then there would of been a fight, and it would of been my fault.im really confused.coz 1st he said dont hold hi

The real violation here is Ellen lambasting M&M publically, demonizing them so everyone in the world can hear.

Why the hell can't she complain privately? Does she think her status as a celebrity gives her the right to use "public pressure" to force the adoption agency to comply even though she violated the terms of her contract? Those adoption agencies have very specific guidelines for good reason.

What about those 2 kids? So what!!, those kids had the dog for 2 WEEKS ONLY. They weren't THAT attached to the dog for god sakes.

Ellen gave the dog up and in doing so forfeited her right to decide the dog's fate. Now I'm pretty sure that dog's going to have a wonderful home anyways, if I thought otherwise I'd be on Ellen's side. But are there any really people out there that think that dog's going to be tranfered to a terrible home? I don't think so, end of discussion.

I have one betta and three dainos and a small algea eater in a 10 gallon tank and as soon as i put the dainos and the algea eater into the tank he started to chase them. none of the fish are small enough to fit into his mouth. I have plenty of areas for the betta, "KJ", to hide and yet he still chases them. any advice would be greatful.

The water coming from my fridge (The one from the door) has a pH of 7.0. I did a 50% water change today and another one yesterday. I did a water change because my Betta has fin rot and I'm changing the water as much as I can. I use a Tablespoon of Aquarium Salt Instead of a Teaspoon. Anyways, My pH was 7.0 Yesterday but Now it's 7.2? Does pH rise on it's own? If Pantyhose has any affect on it, I shoved pantyhose down the mouth of my Powerfilter. It was rinsed in warm water before I did it though.
