i dont no why but "men" mostly,seem to always take advantage,just because im a woman! like for instance today i was running my dog,and another dog came in and stole my dogs ball,so my dog growled at the other dog,so i told my 12yr old to grab him coz i didnt want to cause a fight! and the other dog owner started shouting at me.saying put that dog down dont pick it up! your making it worse! so i said.your dogs got his ball.and i dont want my dog to attack your dog! then hes mate said,oh yeah you no dont you( being sarcastic) then i said im sorry but i dont want my dog attacking other dogs! then he said control your dog and he said oh shut up you stupid c*nt! infront of my son....firstly if i want to hold my dog back i will,and whats it got to do with him. i mean what if my dog, attacks a dog. to get his ball back and gets hurt? i know for a fact that if my son had let my dog go then there would of been a fight,and it would of been my fault.im really confused.coz 1st he said dont hold hi

it doesnt matter where i go theres always someone whos got to say something to me! another time a lady that i know who walks her dog in the park,dogs sniff eacher other right ? well her dog sniffed this other dogs butt,and the owner went over to her and started shouting right in her face every swear word possible.he said that he would go and get his other dog and that dog would rip her dogs head off! and then he took hes dogs muzzel off! what is wrong with ppl ? i seen that bloke a few times with his dog and i have got my dog and he says things to it like what is it boy and starts really laughing ! hes got a staffordshire bull terrier! and i have nothing against the breed just stupid owners ! and i have a jack russell.

yeah they do,and its called "bully" some men talk to my mum like ****,but they wouldn't talk to my dad like it ! i bet

I can understand just how you feel after this incident .maybe he was having a bad day or may be he's just that sort of person ,the type you would rather not meet.About taking advantage ,the worls isn't a fair place,people are always taking advantage of each other ,i wonder if he would have behaved differently if he was talking to a man with his dog ?
The pont is you were right & you stood your ground ,this man i am sure realised all this,but he tried face saving measures In life we confront people who take advantage of others ,men as well as women ,more than the sex i think it is attitude at play,but the mainstay of every fair minded person is to hold your ground when you know you are right, others will get to seeing your point eventually.

He sounds like a jerk. You are your dogs owner, you have the right to do what you feel is best to protect your dog. Who knows, maybe he wanted to see a dog fight, some are like that.
And in answer to do men take advantage, I think it is true all too often. When I was single it seemed like I was always getting scammed, especially by home repairman, and also auto mechanics however I know a little about cars to it didn't happen very much.

What a Drama...Dogs and balls, balls and dogs. No one was taking advantage of anybody...seems like you just ran into your jerk for the day;lucky you...In my experience I feel women take advantage of situations more than men do. I have a girlfriend who only wants me around when there is something in it for her,and then proceeds to push me away,take ,take ,take...I'm tired of being used.feel like theres nothing left of me to give...
