What is this microchip really. Why doesn't anyone question the VET like they do the Doctor?

Well, if you're getting a male neutered it doesn't really take a rocket scientist to tell he no longer has nuts.... If you're confused about where his testicles are located, you could get a basic anatomical chart online. Or, you could just look at where they have him shaved.
As far as microchips go, you can have them scanned at a different clinic or at an animal control office to see if it's really in if you have any doubts..
I actually have watched 2 of my dogs get 'fixed' in the past..

What's with people and conspiracy theories?
Yeah, sure, someone would go to college for 8 years at the price tag of about $40,000 a year, get into a competitive program and then blow it all by not really neutering you dog. Wow, that makes so much sense...

Who says nobody asks their vet questions? I do all the time.

What's your beef about microchips? They work.

Are you talking about looking inside during surgery? The PBS show Vets In Practice showed some cat and dog surgery. It was interesting.

I can tell you exactly what happens. I'm a vet assistant. I have indeed been inside to see. You should question your vet if you have questions. If your vet isn't willing to answer any questions you have, you should find a different one!

A spay is a complete ovariohysterectomy (remove all internal girlie parts)
A neuter is the removal of the testicles.

Bob Barker is right on the money. I research and I do ask questions of my vet.
