I'd like to administer these Ace pills to my cats, but one in particular always finds a way to vomit or spit any pills back out. However, I've found that she does well by taking oral liquid medications. My vet gave me the pill version and I'm wondering if diluting in water will "spoil" (decomposition) the effects of it.

i want one so bad and i made up a tank just for him and let it cycle. i found a store that had them and when i got there the guy asked me if i had fresh or brackish i told him fresh. he said i couldnt get it because it needed brackish and it had to be set up. i knew it was supose to be brackish but i had read on here that no salt was needed and i could put him in fresh. the guy walked away and i dont know what kind of salt to get instant ocean or reef crystals or what. and i dont know how much to use. i guess i should have researched even further than thw 26 pages i already read on them. any help. i want him so bad. also i was told i could have more than one. i always thought i couldnt. help!!!!???

Im really scared he is 3 years old we had him nutered 2-3 weeks ago. my one son is 3 and a half and theres a 1 and a half year old too so they grew up together and until now the kids could jump on him play, whatever and now when they go on his back put their arms around him he growels so mean its scarry he even snapped at our little one and that so unlike him!

My LFS has some box fish and pyramid fish. I was wanting to research them and I can't find any info on either. I can find pics of the box fish, but every search I do for the pyramid fish only turns up butterfly pyramid angelfish.

I'm looking for the little fish that are shaped like a pyramid. And the box fish that look like this:

I just realized, whenever I have been arranging things in the aquarium, I will dry my hand on the kitchen towel, and let it sit on the counter top. I also use my mouth to start syphoning the gravel vac. Should I use hand sanitizer after feeding the fish, and make sure no one touches any stray drops of water?

We've had ours on 2 units twice a day,per the vet, and he's been stable these last two months, but there's info out there that cats on Lantus for several months may suddenly go into a honeymoon phase where they stop being diabetic and don't need the insulin anymore.

I'm wondering if anyone here has had theirs on Lantus and had this happen? What were the signs (if any) that I'd need to be watching for. I don't home test, and he gets his fructosamine test and glucose test done every few months at the vets.

I had recently bought mealworms for my red eared slider from my a petshop near my house and my turtle loved them but the nexy day when i put my turtle in a separate container to feed it like I always do it would always try to climb. I've always feed it in the same container. What do you think is happenning? Oh and also i feed it reptomin turtle stix. My turtle is about 3 inches. I got it when it was the size or a quarter. Its 1 years old.

My cat is about 10 years old, he is fat and he shouldn't be he was a small cat when we found him and very overweight, he used to be an out door cat intill we moved, and my mom wont let me take him out since all the cats are free of flees and healthy but I want him to be healthier and all, how can I get her to let me take her out and just go back to putting flee treatment on?

I have in my tank what appear to be VERY tiny jellyfish that are peach colored. They puff in and out like jellyfish, and swim like jellyfish; but do not have the tenticles that jellyfish do. Are these a form of feather duster worms or something else?

My dad has to weenie dogs and one is spoiled rotten. He has his one spot on the top of the couch 'his perch', it is right in front of the window and he barks at EVERYTHING, even when the little invisible grasshopper makes noise.

So, when I'm home, I do NOT allow him up there at all. When I go to the bathroom or in another room other than the living room he jumps up there and starts barking, so I pick him up and put him on the floor and tell him ''NO'' and he tries to bite me. I have told my dad this and he thinks that I need to continue what I'm doing and he does the same thing, but my step-mom thinks that we are abusing him and that we need to stop. Who's right?

I have a 55 gallon tropical community tank. My Pleco sucker fish got HUGE! But all he does is stay in one of the ornaments. So, I want to transfer him to my 40 gallon tank with 2 goldfish to get to work in there. Both have filters, heaters and I do 20% water changes frequently. Will he be stressed or have any problems if I occassionally switch him from the two tanks?Thanks!

ive had a big angle fish anour 2inch from top to bottom(if thats big) and witha algae eater(the one thats starts witha p thats hard to spell rofl) 2 snails about 1in each and a shrimp and a black bolly all in a 10gal tank i had a filter and everything but it died (but right befor it died i had just put a dragon fish in and it was acting strange it was swimming realyfast to the surface then just floating down) then about 2 weeks l8er i got a 1in angel fish with the same fish and it died it lookd like its fin was hurt cause it just swam in circles so... what happnd? is it not related at all or is it connected?

Just to stoke the fire a little, I'm curious as to how many support the ban or are opposed to it. I don't want long winded justifiction for your opinion either, a simple "Yes I support it" or "No I don't" will suffice. We are being purely scientific now and I would like to see how much the community is divided on this subject.
