Yep. They can eat the leaves and the flowers of dandelions. My rabbit goes crazy for dandelion, he absolutely loves it :).

Clover is another good backyard plant. So long as there aren't any pesticides, it should be fine.

If ANYONE on your block or the next block over uses a lawn treatment (sprays for weeds or does the fertilize/weed spray) don't use anything from your lawn to give to your bunny. Wind takes some of that all over the place and it will poison your grass till there's been at least two rain storms washing it off. Don't take the chance.

I don't know about giving them dandelions, but I used to raise rabbits and clovers are like the best thing. Or just grass and big leaves. But a dandelion I am not so sure about. I guess that you could try it and see but don't give it a whole lot cause you don't want it to get sick!

I give my cute bunny (named CHECKERS hehe) the whole thing. I think he's smart enough to know which parts he can't eat if any. In the wild there's no one to cut off the stems or whatever. I believe that he is a highly intelligent (and highly cute ^_^) animal who can judge his own foods with his own taste buds. hehe Have fun.

OH YEAH...I agree with the Elaine also...My lawn doesn't have pesticides though...check if yours does.

Gerbilfuzz is right. Just rinse them off. You can eat the leaves, too. Add them to your salad. Some people don't like them but your bunny will. Don't know about the seed fuzzies. They don't look very appetizing and might get caught in you bunny's throat (?).
