Don't be ridiculous. A cat's tail is its means of balancing itself.
Your cat is waving his tail as a sign of interest. If you can't handle this very small non-issue, then find him a home with someone who'll appreciate him as the beautiful and loving creature that he is.

No, do NOT cut off his tail. That would be cruel! Just accept it as a part of being a cat. Just gently move the tail out of your face when it gets in the way.

No...absolutely not. You shouldn't cut off his tail...it just shows he's happy with the attention. If you can't handle a minor cat quirk like that, you shouldn't have gotten him in the first place. Give him to somebody who will love him.

A tail is a cat's mood-meter... It swishing back and forth shows he's happy and is really enjoying the moment.

If you couldn't deal with the tail, you should have gotten a tail-less pet.

I know it's annoying to have a cat tail hitting you, but he's probably happy (there's a happy tail whapping and an angry tail whapping), so deal. You can always ask your kitty to please stop hitting you with your tail, but he will probably ignore you and keep it up.

And I sincerely hope you are not serious about mutilating your cat!

No...that's just a cat thing...ignore the tail, but don't have it "cut off".

If you wanted a tailless cat you should have bought a manx or something. He might be happy or annoyed.

I hope you are joking! You are joking ....right?????
You can't just cut off body parts just because they "annoy" you. Maybe once you accidentally stepped on someones foot...should they cut off your foot because it annoyed them?

That's why I'm a dog person.
