I live in a townhouse so his veranda is right next to mine! His 2 cats are always outside and they come to sleep on my rug that I keep in front of the door! I think they are full of ear mites and fleas and my 4 cats are indoor cats and they caught ear mites! I threw the rug out and I am treating my cats with Revolution! What can I do to keep these cats away from my veranda without insulting my neighbours?? It's costing me quite a bit for vets and medication and maybe my cats will get fleas from them! Please help??

I have some fish experience, and I currently have two very happy Ryukin Goldfish in a 6 gallon Eclipse tank. I know what you're gonna say, that's too small for even one goldfish! But when I bought them, they were still pretty small, and they are growing, and I will be buying a 20 gallon tank for them soon. But then I became interested in Dwarf Puffers. I would put the Puffers into the 6 gallon Eclipse. What is the ideal tank for the DPs? I need to know everything. And I am aware of how touchy they are- and I'm willing to keep their tank perfect. I make sure everything's pretty much perfect in my goldfish tank, and they're still alive, so that must say something! Lol.

First of all, I'm a 35 yr old woman and yesterday I adopted a 7 yr old purebred yellow lab. He's beautiful and quite big. He was given to me by a guy that was going to Iraq and couldnt find anywhere for him to go. Well, my husband's mom and dad thought I was crazy. He is really huge...his owner said he was the runt of the litter and now he is very large. Big block head and huge paws. He is very well-behaved and intelligent. Well, my father-in-law said I was crazy for getting a dog that big. My mother-in-law acted like she was scared of him. My sister-in-law, who has a pomperanian, started saying to her dog, "I wont let that big old ugly dog step on you!" He wasnt even near her dog, didnt bark or anything. My father-n-law said I better get a big leash and kept saying he was going to be a handfull and I will regret it. I already love him and dont care what he says. What is your opinion and reason on why they acted like this? Thank you.

Hello. I am really feeling bad for my cats. Especially the 4 month old kittens (I have 2). My adult cat also has fleas but it doesn't seem like they are as bad as on the 4 month old kittens. The adult cat spends most of her time upstairs and the two 4 month old kittens are downstairs. The adult cat had kittens yesterday and I am afraid they will get fleas as well. I don't know what I can do to get rid of the fleas safely and quickly. I did vacuum around the house and I put the flea collar on the two 4 month old kittens who do not ever come upstairs. The 4 month old kittens look so uncomfortable....and I feel bad because they are so loving. I don't see any scabs on them or anything but I do see flea droppings near the tails. I don't know much about fleas as I have never experienced them with pets. I don't know if it helps but the adult cat is an outdoor cat. I don't know what type of products to get or which part of the house I should focus on. Please help. Thank you.

....an outside cat, I got it yesterday, and, let him stay inside for the night so he could get used to us. I gave him a lot of food, milk, water, played with him, etc. It slept with my brother last night and woke up next to him this morning. I was leaving the house this morning and the cat ran out the door leading outside, and, ran away. Will he find his way back home, they don't live too far (only 3 miles away). Please answer back, the cat is old enough to be on it's own now.

my cat had 4 kittens all of them opened their eyes except one. that one kitten has hard mucus growing around its closed eyes im wondering if that would prevent the kitten from opening its eyes. i've already tried wiping it away with warm water and q-tips.
Do you think the kitten will die or will never be able to open its eyes.
Any suggetions would help
thanks

I have a springer spaniel that is 8 months old and he chews everything. He will chew on absolutely anything! Shoes, hair bows, paper, wires..... What can I do to make him stop? I know about the bitter spray you can buy but some things he gets a hold of can't be sprayed with it.

i have 5 little dogs that have absolutely taken over the house. we love our dogs and do not want to get rid of any of them. we have a baby gate and we crate them in the kitchen, but anytime i let them out of the kitchen...they always end up sneaking around and pooping or peeing in the house! also...when i try to let them outside, they either go outside and stand there or refuse to go out. we try to pick them up and physically walk outside into the middle of the yard with them, but they end up running towards the door! its so frustrating.

we're unsure of what to do in that respect. and also...we can't seem to get some of the urine smell out of the house. we manage to cover it up with air fresheners but that never lasts. and also, we bought a carpet steamer and that seemed to only make it worse!

help us!!

Ok so I have had my puppy for almost three weeks now.I have been potty treining him but I got hurt and couldnt work with him as much for the past five days or so.I still took him out but not as much, so he spent much of his time in the bathroom with his toilette paper and I only took him out about twice a day.Now I'm feeling a bit better and ready to get back down to the task of potty training.
My dog has pood in his bed and peed twice on the bathroom floor.Does this mean he is confused or what?
Any advice is appriciated.
Also how often do I need to take him outside. He is small breed.
Thank you to those who read this and give advice.

I have two cats at home and I just hate cleaning out their litterbox. I've tried everything from the sifting litterbox liners to the sifting litterboxes themselves but nothing seems to be less messy than the other.

It was recommended to me that I buy an automatic, self-cleaning litterbox, which would be ideal if it works well. Since these litterboxes are pretty expensive, I want to know if they work well before I invest in one only to waste my money.

If so, which is the best one to buy?

My dog is now a year old and is very happy and healthy. I want to keep her that way. She needs her second rabies shot and every time I try to make an appointment for her to get it they all want to charge me for an examination. The exam costs 4 times what the shot alone costs. I think that the exam is a money making thing. Does she have to have the exam or do I need to just get her a shot somehow?

This is a little bit unsually. However, our beloved dog Labrador/Cockerspaniel mix of 13 years by the name of Sarah passed away peacefully in her home yesterday afternoon. We will miss her wet kisses, her punding noises , her tip toe in the middle of the night when she had to go outside. I will miss her giving her favorite treat Peanut Butter cookies for dogs.
Love your dogs, treat them right cause you never know how fast they are gone!

i have a 9 month old boxer and 1 year old mini poodle. Every time we leave the house, our boxer goes and eats the poodles food. Both
of the dogs have separate food bowls that are placed on opposite sides of the house. Our boxer knows where its food bowl is, but for some reason when we arent home, or when she thinks no bodys around ( I have caught her on several occasions) she starts to eat the poodles dry dog food. On occasion when we are home, but not looking, the poodle will go eat the boxers food! When we catch them we spray them with bottled water and tell them no! but it seems to keep happening. Can anybody tell me why? Is it jealousy?

Do you think they are all orphans or just sadly "neglected"???
It's that ancient question : Who came first, the neglected kids or neglected dogs.
