....an outside cat, I got it yesterday, and, let him stay inside for the night so he could get used to us. I gave him a lot of food, milk, water, played with him, etc. It slept with my brother last night and woke up next to him this morning. I was leaving the house this morning and the cat ran out the door leading outside, and, ran away. Will he find his way back home, they don't live too far (only 3 miles away). Please answer back, the cat is old enough to be on it's own now.

It won't find its way home. It's probably outside close by and hiding. Get outside and start looking. It's not old enough to be on its own - cats not cared for by humans that live outside don't last long - they starve, get diseases or are killed by wild animals and dogs.

If it's only been to your house once then chances are not good that it will find it's way back. Most likely it may be going back to your cousin's house. A kitten is not old enough to be on it's own.
As an outside cat it won't live that long because of predators, disease, and humans. Also, unless it's the kind of milk made for cats I wouldn't give it cows milk, they just get the runs.

Probably not. You should have kept the cat inside for at least a month! Cats are afraid of new places and panic and run away. He should get to know you and the house well before getting out.
Leave food outside just in case.

Yes the cat should find it's way home.. Leave food out for it, milk is not good for kittens or cats it gives them the runs giving them food and fresh water daily is sufficient to them...Best of Luck......
