Before you do anything, try the light bulb! Take the shade off of a lamp and place the bulb as near to the cage as possible. If the bird is on a perch, put the bulb right against the cage next to the perch. NO, he will not get burned. He will sit only as close to the heat as he needs to be.
If he is in the bottom of the cage, put the bulb as near the bottom as possible and right against the cage.

This has saved many birds for me, even a few that I found now and then laying on their side in the bottom of the cage. Even when they looked like they were not breathing. It should help within 2 hours if it is going to work.

I have no idea why this works, but the heat from a light bulb ia like a miracle to a sick bird. It never hurts to try.
Best wishes

Comfort him as much as you can. Keep him in a nice clean place and give him some food, if he'll take it from a syringe, or drop some water through his nostrils. Other than that, keep him company.

Touching him would just shorten his time with you. Be patient, quiet and pray that he goes in peace to a better place.

thats a nice name for a bird. what I would do, is once your bird dies, go out and get another bird, and name him the exact same thing, because that is an excellent name.
