Theres 2 orphan kittens that i have, someone dropped them off at my doorstpe and i began nursing them back to health about a 4 or 5 days ago.. I've run into a few problems... with one of them, every time they sleep and i go in there to check on the kittens, he has a bunch of eye boogers all over his eye, one day it was closed because of that stuff, is there any form of treatment needed to be done? it has been slowly going away recently...

With another kitten, they eat canned food fine, i poured some water in it so they can get plenty of fluid. Are they not eating enough? They gobble that stuff down like theres no tomorrow, i always put my full attention on them and let them cuddle with me all the time, but they just keep meowing like they're wanting something, i cant determine what it is! Every once in awhile they'll just lay down on me and purr really REALLY loud, i often let them sleep on me for a couple hours, unless i have to go do someting. Any ideas on what they want?4.5weeksol

She is 4 months old and our first puppy. We have read and listened to a lot of advice but we are still learning!
She is normally kept in the kitchen with a baby gate between her and the rest of the house, and now is now very unlikely to have an accident there (only if she is not taken out often enough). We have been letting her get more and more freedom in the rest of the house (mostly with supervision) and now has an accident every other day there. She is starting to learn that the rest of the house is inside too. We ignore her if we do not catch her in the act and clear up the accidents with a special cleaner. If we do catch her, we make a loud noise to startle her and carry her outside.
Are we on the right track? Should she be trained by now? I am worried that we are running out of time when she is impressionable.

I have 2 female siamese rats. The smallest one appears to be the alpha rat which is fine because her sister dosen't seem to mind too much. However last night while out for play time my little alpha rat for no apparent reason nipped my finger and then when I tried to move my hand away she locked onto my finger inflicting a very painful and nasty puncture wound and a bruise from the force of hanging on. She then ran up my chest to my face and bit me hard on the lip. My husband waited a few minutes while i was bleeding profusely from my lip then picked her up to return her to her cage. She then bit him hard on the thumb. This is the first time this has happened she is usually a sweet, affectionate and spunky little thing but never has she even attempted to hurt either one of us. I'm really upset and concerned and would really love to hear from someone who knows about rats. How do we handle her and this behavior and what can we do that this dosen't happen again.

UNDERDOG movie worth barking about!

Let me start off by saying that Underdog the movie is a grrrrrrrrrrreat movie that will leave your stomach hurting from all the laughing. I just went and watch this movie on opening night and I have to say this movie is worth 4 paws and one tail up! It's a grrrrreat film that will leave you laughing the whole way through the film. Kids are going to flip out over Underdog, I'm telling ya! Everyone in the theater seemed to love this movie as well with all the laughter that was heard during the film. One thing this film does remind us is that dogs say the darndest things. Underdog (voiced by Jason Lee of "My Name is Earl") has a nack of making you burst into laughter from the goofy quotes and funny antics this character displays.

Laura grabbed a box and McKenzie but the kittens inside! “Mew” “mew” they shouted!
They were hungry. McKenzie the beautiful princess, grabbed some royal hot dogs to feed them by the time she was back all the kitties were asleep!
The queen said, “YUCK get those kittens out of my house they are wet and dirty!”
“FINE!” said McKenzie! She put the box out in the rain.
“LAURA, LAURA!” the princess squealed! The mother cat is here!
“Good they have one I thought the mother might have died good thing she’s back!”*** Laura said with a snobby voice!
“What is she doing?” Said McKenzie. Laura replied, “She’s feeding them.”
“Oh.”

McKenzie and Laura went up to there rooms and fell asleep. The next Morning the kittens were GONE! McKenzie was so sad she yelled “KITTIES! WHERE ARE YOU?”
All the Kittens ran up to her and were meowing like crazy they remembered her!
McKenzie wanted to scream she was so happy! However, she did not that would be “princess like!
The next morning The Kittens greeted her, the next day, and the next day.

Oh... i can add details uhm...

I have 2 orphan kittens, ive had them for about 5 days, and im assuming they're 4.5-5 weeks old, they have teeth and dont like to drink water or a kitten formula from a feeding syringe, they refuse to eat from the syringe, they gobble down the canned food and run around on it, and im cleaning their paws as they of course get dirty. Is the liquid from the canned food good enough? I have a deep plate filled with water that they refuse to drink, i put them infront of it and offer to let them lick my fingers, but they just walk away, and i'm out of formula... any other suggestions on how to show them to drink water? Is the canned food alright?

I have a 6 week old Border Collie puppy and he's fine in himself when he's up and about but when he's asleep he rolls his eyes and thrashes about. My Mum says he's dreaming but it looks like he's having some sort of fit to me. Can anybody reassure me? All replies gratefully received, thanks

I had to have my cat put to sleep today.

He was seriously ill, very very thin and had stopped eating and drinking this week. The vet had given him some antibiotics which we were trying but today he started struggling for breath and couldn't stand up and we decided enough was enough.

I feel so awful - did I do the right thing? The vet said that yes it was probably the right decisions - the only other thing they could do was to put him on a drip and subject him to loads of blood tests which I didn't think he would be able to cope with, being as ill as he was. They weren't sure what exactly was wrong with him.

So we took him to the emergency vets and had him euthanased so he wouldn't suffer anymore. I was with him right till the end.
This is the part of having a pet which I hate. Losing them. I miss him so much.

My cat Gigi is about 3 years old. She hasn't been eating anything for a few days. She won't even eat canned food or treats. I thought it would pass at first, but I started to notice she is getting very thin. I plan on taking her to the vet tomorrow, but I really want to know what is going on right now.
