My dog Keesha's birthday is coming up soon in September. I really need what to do for her birthday. I thought of inviting some of my dog lover friends over, with their dogs in the yard, to have a barbecue as a casual get together, but then as a side celebrate her birthday. She is turning 9 years September 15th. I really want something special for her, since (you never know) this could be the last birthday she has with us. Help?

My Chihuahua had fur puppies. There is two medium sized ones. There one that is about an inch bigger, and one that is really small about 2 inches smaller than the biggest one. They are about 3 weeks old. Is this normal? The bigger puppy eats soft dog food already, runs,.and plays, and the other ones don't do that yet. The smallest one is still very clumsy. Is this normal in puppies?

My brother bought a female pit bull about 2 months ago. When he bought her he didnt know she was pregnant. We finally found out about 2 weeks before she had the puppies. She had the puppies last Saturday night, she had 8 of them. They was all heathly till bout Tuesday than 5 of them died within 48 hrs. I think they was weak cause her nipples was so big some of them couldnt get a hold of it. She has 3 left and we are going to keep 2 of them. I have a couple questions about this though.
My first one is, Ive looked at the 3 remaining ones and they have big fleas on them. I know that isnt heathly but I cant bathe them so what do I do. Ive called the vet but they told me that it will be ok but im still worried.
My second question is, Im worried that the other puppies are gonna become weak cause she doesnt seem to wont to feed them like she was. If she doesnt feed them anyone can anyone tell me what kind of milk and bottles would I need so I can feed them that way. I want them to survive.

I just adopted a 4-week old kitten who is very playful as kittens can be. I've had cats before but she is the most active!

All she does all morning, day, and night is climb, scratch, bite, and repeat. I lose sleep and my arms are scratched up because she likes to attack me in my sleep. When I'm on the laptop (she is doing this right now) she will climb up my legs or jump on my chair to attack my arm. I will clap and say no and place her on the ground but she will immediately do it again. I've tried spraying with water as well but she actually enjoys it.

I've placed her in time out for a good amount of time but this only makes it worse. The longer she says in time out, the worse she is.

I play with her as much as I can to get her tired, but it makes no difference. She still sees me as one of her toys, though she has lots of toys!

She even feasts on my electrical cords and digs them out when I hide them (which is a normal cat thing) but I still need help on it!

Any ideas?

two career persons living in an apartment desire to have a dog companion, we had an experience with a Labrador puppy, but she did not do very well, did not seem to do very well with us, too much biting, and destruction, and after 3 months, we had to give her to friends. there must be a good natured medium to medium- large size dog that would fit better to our circumstances.

Me and my family just bought a siamese kitten today.
It seems very scared, and whenever it hears a loud noise, it hisses.

Or, when you put your hand near it, it hisses.
It sat in my lap a couple of times, but it's still scared to death.

My stupid dad brought in the dog a while ago, and now the kitten is like.. growling. She's scared to death..

I feel bad. what can I do to make her more comfortable?
Or will it just take time?

Last night there was this guy walking close to our apartment, and he told us if we wanted the animal. We said yes, because it didn't look like it would be safe if the other guy still had it.

Yet we don't even know what type of animal it is...
We don't know the name, what it eats, nothing.

Here are some photographs, and hopefully you guys can help me:

He seems to be 'scratching' his eyes alot and his face looks yellowish. I am not sure if this is typical for his species or if I should be treating a health problem...

Here is some details about thier environment..

I have a 55 gallon that also houses a red ear slider. The water is kept clean with 3 filters and is completely changed monthly. I feed them a variety of foods including fruits and vegetables, pellets, shrimp, worms, crickets and rosy red minnows. I treat their water with water conditioner for turtles. The each have a basking dock, one has a heat lamp (for the red ear)and ones does not (for the musk). The tank is also covered by a full length UV light.
