Time will tell you. The balloon at about 5-6 weeks, you feel kicks around 7 wks or so.
And it is much more important to take her to the vet after birth rather than early in the pregnancy. You just make sure to keep her wormed. If you feel kicking at 7 weeks or so, then things are going ok. If you don't make a trip to the vet to make sure it is a pregnancy not a pyometra. But do have a songram after birth to make sure everything passes. That is much more important than a sonogram too early. And I always have my vet give the girls a round of antibiotics after birth to prevent any infections.

Well you cant.
Your vet is the only one who can tell if your dog is pregnant or not.

Other than actually being a good and responsible owner and going to the vet, time is the only other indicator. If she is pregnant, she will eventually give birth....hopefully uneventfully.

If for the past week or so your dog has been Bleeding, having her period, then she may be pregnant when she stops bleeding and has grown as if she looks like she is carying puppies, or if she has puppies, then you will know.

first of all do you want this pregnancy? Do you want to have puppies, if not get her spayed. Otherwise, without a vet wait 45 days and place your hand on her stomach and feel for movement of babies. Or wait 63 days and you should have babies.

Ditto, sadijane. If you're avoiding the cost of breeding this early in the game, you shouldn't be breeding at all. It gets way more expensive as time goes by. Go have your dog spayed and you'll both be happier for it.

Only accurate way is to have the vet either palpitate her stomach or take an xray/ultrasound. Otherwise, you'll just be guessing.

Feel to see if the space around the uterus is swollen. If it's swollen, she's pregnant.
Also, if your dog IS having her "period"...she's Preg-O
