Does anyone have a way to stop my German Shepherds from digging? They wont dig when im around but if I turn my back for 2 mins I have a crater in my lawn. Please help.

Yes. Cover your lawn in chicken wire. The grass will still grow throught it and you have to set your lawnmower quite high. Failing that, tie their front legs together.

Blow up a balloon, place it in the hole where they have been digging, do not let them see you do this, cover the whole up carefully not breaking the balloon. Let the dogs back in the yard, and let them dig again, when the balloon breaks they will be surprised and won't dig there again. You may have to do this more than once.

My bulldog puppy digs like no other. I started putting black pepper where the dog was digging and he started sneezing- a lot less digging. He still will start to dig from time to time, but if he does he goes immediately to his kennel in the house. It's like time out for puppies!

I hear that there is "mulch'" people use in there lawns that is smelly of something to dogs so they don't dig the yard up. You can look for it in a nursery or something.

Statistics show that most dogs dig because they are bored and or stressed. Once they start it is almost impossible to get then to stop.
