Thank you for answering though I definately could have phrased that question better! Sorry!

I often asked about that stereotype myself Terry, lol, although I was mostly joking about one of my wildest cats.

The stereotype that states: "cats are independent and unloving animals who tend to their own business and never show any respect to their owners when they are the ones that give them food."
This is soo untrue! Cats are loving and adorable. I usually find dog owners saying this, but scratch that! It's BS!

yes that one about the baby breath is lame and yes the one about cats being not as responsive than dogs. I joke that my cats are part dog because they come running when i come home and they always want attention when im not petting them. I think at least my cats are a good judge of character. They know when someone comes over that isnt a cat lover. They just stare and stay clear of then, lol.

It is 2007 and I can't believe that there are still people out there that believe the old wives tale about cats sucking the breath out of a baby. How ridiculous. When my boys were babies we had cats and if one of the boys was asleep on a couch more than once one of our cats might jump up to check the baby out but that was all... Cats just get a bad rap.

Cat's are Stupid! Cat's aren't intelligent! Cat's are dirty animals! I hate stereotypes because they aren't the TRUTH.

Cat's are amazing animals in the world. Intelligent, loving, caring, clean, adorable and COULD be mans best friend.

I hate that people think that those who like cats are crazy, or that if a woman has cats she is going to end up alone with 50 of them.

The stereotypes I hate, are the witch craft related ones, including rituals, that they're evil, that they're actaully witches or transforming people who can assume any shape they want. That they're very much like the wild anilmals to which they're related.

That females be allowed to have "just one litter" before getting spayed.

Is that a stereotype?

How about cats being "aloof", that one's irritating.

Another one: a dumped cat can take care of itself just fine.

Ridiculous, all.

I hate "cats are so intelligent". If you like dumb animals, fine, but just be honest about it.
