Me and my family just bought a siamese kitten today.
It seems very scared, and whenever it hears a loud noise, it hisses.

Or, when you put your hand near it, it hisses.
It sat in my lap a couple of times, but it's still scared to death.

My stupid dad brought in the dog a while ago, and now the kitten is like.. growling. She's scared to death..

I feel bad. what can I do to make her more comfortable?
Or will it just take time?

This is all new for your kitty and it will take time for her to adjust. It was a bad idea on bring in the dog so soon, this will only keep your kitty in fear. Perhaps you can take your kitty in another room where the dog isn't, and spend some time with her in quite time. She needs to be loved and learn to trust you. The calmer and more loving you are with her will only help to bring her out of the uncertainty.

Good luck and thanks for asking.

Unfortunately this is something that will just take time. The best thing you can do is keep the kitten isolated in one room (perhaps your bedroom if this is where it will be sleeping) for the first few days until it becomes comfortable with its new surroundings. If you have any blankets or toys from its old home that may smell like its mother keep that in the room as well. Its will help it transition a little better. After the kitten has gotten used to the room and has calmed down (stopped hissing, etc...) then you can trying opening the door a little and letting it explore on its own. I would keep the dog in a separate part of the house for the first couple of weeks. It needs to get used to the house and the new owners before it can even deal with the dog. Hope this helps!

Siamese can be a nervous breed, so take it slowly. Give your new kitten a spot to hide, under a bed, in a box and just let het get used to the sounds and sights of a new home. We put our kitten in the spare room and left the door open a little, after a little while he came to look for us. So talking to the kitten and try to cuddle but if it gets nervous or starts to hiss, put it back in it's safe spot. Just take it slowly, the kitten will adjust and in a week or so will be completely at home.
Best to leave the dog and cat appart for a few weeks and tackle introducing them when the kitten has settled in a bit better.

Some cats LOVE water. It varies by breed. Most just don't like being wet. Making sure that the water is a comfortably warm temperature should help. Also, if she scratches a lot when you try to give her a bath, give her something to hold onto (like a towel thrown over a board). Sometimes they just don't like the weird positions you put them in when you bathe them or the cold sink.

A suggestion is to take a warm water bottle and wrap it with a towel. This will simulate a mother, and the cat might become less frightened if it can still huddle next to "Mommy".

I have a kitten. When I got her she would run away from me. I desided to leave her alone. In 2 days she LOVED me. give the cat space. My cat hates it when people bother her and chase her.
