where do you keep your dog when its gone.?

Question

do you let your dog roam the house or keep it in one room (ex. the bathroom) or keep it outside when your gone (ex. work) ?

and what do you leave with it?
toys?
do you leave the radio on ?

woopsie i meant the question to say where do you keep your dog when your gone.

My dogs are well trained and they now have free run of the house.

I have 2 dogs and when i don't take them with me. I leave them in the house. They roam. They do not hurt the house at all. a matter a fact i am really sure the big one goes and lays down and my littler one lays with him. But they always hear the car and are standing at the door dog barking till i get in the house. I also leave either my TV on or Radio. Makes me feel better. But i have to say Unless it's really hot. They go with me. They get so excited to get in the car. And than i look in back seat and here they are laying by each other. You don't even know there back there. They have there toys when were are gone but There always in same place when i get home so they don't play with them.

I leave my dog in the garden when i'm out, with, plenty of fresh water, a dog chew, a few toys, shade and his kennel. But only if its not raining, quite cold or quite hot ( +23'C) theese conditions may change with what dog you have (long-haired or short-haired)
If the weather isnt right, i leave my dog downstairs with a chair by the enterance of the stairs (or a baby gate), i shut the living room door so he has the hall and the kitchen to roam. I leave him with fresh water, a toy and a dog bed. I dont like the idea of crates and sometimes leave the radio/television on quietly (remember dogs hearing is much better than ours and leaving it on normal volume may be iritating)

I used a crate for short periods like 4 hours. Any longer depends on the dog. I will try to go home and let them out if possible. I have a 6 ft cedar fence all around my backyard so I can let them go in and out. I was having my neighbor letting them out , when possible. A radio works to keep them calmer as they don't stand with an ear ****** listening for any tiny sound.

Mine get to roam the whole downstairs of the house. I leave food and water out for them and turn on a fan when its hot. I work close enough to home, so that I get to come home and let them out at luch time, that way they are not alone all day. My husband also gets to come home during the day. YES my dogs are spoiled!

When ever Ieave my home, I leave my dog in its crate and leave him with a few toys to play with. I'll also leave either the TV or radio on for him. My dog can't be trusted to be left alone, unsupervised, or to have free reign over the house, and he loves being in his crate.

I have 4 dogs and they all just roam free in the house. I sometimes leave the tv and a fan on for them.

I don't have my dog yet but I plan to crate train him. He's not housebroken so I don't want him making a mess in the house. I'm home pretty much all day every day so he will never be in there longer then 3 hours.

she has the roam of the house but all the bedroom doors get shut,but i know for a fact that when she hears the car come up the drive she jumps off the couch and into her own bed in the kitchen!

we let our potty trained dogs in the house. we keep the tv on just cuz we ususally forget to turn it off. but we leave out a basket of toys. our dogs probably sleep when were gone
