Well....I assume you mean abscess? If so, it depends on whether or not it is draining. If it is open and draining, then I would say to make sure you keep it clean by flushing it with water until only water (no puss or anything) comes back out. It is also important to keep it clean and dry. If it isn't draining, then you should probably drain it.

I would however, HIGHLY recommend taking your dog to the vet. The dog really needs to be on antibiotics to keep the infection from spreading. The vet can also determine what is causing the abscess to keep it from happening again, and determine if it is, in fact, an abscess and no some kind of other problem.

If you're sure it is an abscess, the best thing to do is to take the dog to a vet as soon as possible! Abscesses need to be properly treated and medicated by a trained medical professional.

Get the vet to treat it. He will clean the area, and may also give you some antibiotics.

Drain it and have the dog take antibiotics depending on where it is. If it is too deep the dog might have to have it surgically cared for.

You take him to a vet to have it cleaned and likely put him on antibiotics.

Please don't delay, this is no big deal or very expensive if you do it before the infection gets into his bloodstream - then he could die.

A vet drains it, cleans it, and gives you antibiotic.

If not, it will pop, drain, and come back until it's properly cleaned and given antibiotic.
