Take it back to the vet NOW! If it does not have a bowel movement soon it will die.

I agree with Patient Paws that the most likely thing here is hip dysplacia. I am the first to say cruciates if the dog was older, but not for a 7 month old and with both legs. Creaking suggests severe arthritis already and 7 months is very young for that. We could be talking OCD in the hocks, but this wouldn't affect the gait, only the lameness. Cruciates wouldn't affect the gait either. Gait comes from the hips. Although hip dysplacia is genetic, it can also be caused by over exercise of a young dog, and at 7 months old he should still only be getting about 35 minutes of walking a day. None of us can determine how bad this is but dogs can live through it although it wouldn't be a pain free life. Wait until you get a proper diagnosis and then consider the options. Also keep his exercise to a minimum all the time he is lame, but keeping enough to keep muscles strong around the hips. Add on. Posted mine as Judy was posting. Please read her post thoroughly and go by it.

Go back to the vet but adding olive oil to the cat food will help. It is either severely constipated or the tailbone is too painful so when it pushes it hurts. Did you give it pain meds. They can constipate also, is it getting enough fluids.

Take it to the vet asap. It probably has something to do with a blockage from the broken leg or tailbone.

TAke it to the vet ASAP. He may have an internal problem that can be solved if taken to the vet in time.
