i have volunteer work from vet offices to dog daycare to animal grooming. i apply for vet receptionist jobs every now and them and usually dO get interviews, but they always pick other candidates. usually just pick one out of who knows how many applicants. besides volunteering i do actual paid work at an animal grooming salon and do full time cashier customer service work which ive done for 5 years now. what else can i do to land a job as a vet receptionist. i have computer skills such as accurate quick typing . i know some excel, i know most ms office, i know a bit about quickbooks. ive just never worked in an office or vet office. how can i get more experience and land a job finally at a receptionist at a vet practice????????

my tank size is 48 inc by 12 by 18.

I have a blood parrot and a oscar.

My blood parrot looked like its was scratched from a rock or something so I added 3 and a half t spoons of table salt into the water.
I was just reading that table salt can harm fish, will they be ok?

Also is this tank ok for those fish, they get on very well and they are both about 5inch, could i add anything else in with them?

My husband wants to get a Bearded Dragon as a pet. I'm not so sure. I've never been a huge fan of reptiles. We have heard great things about their personalites though! We met someone that said theirs even got along with their 3 cats and would sit at the window with them! I just can't picture a reptile being so friendly. I would love to hear people's experiences with these little guys. Thanks!

Ive already wrote a question like this a few days ago, and everyone suggested that I warn her on how harmful human food is for dogs.

[she ONLY feeds them what we eat]

I also had suggestions to physically not let my mom feed our dogs this kind of food.

So I gave my mom information on the harms of only feeding your dog human food. She just got two hamburgers from Wendy's, and when she came home, she gave both our dogs a hamburger, and I automatically took the hamburgers away, and brought the dogs into my room and shut the door. She just came in, let them out, and fed them the hamburgers. It is rediculous, i cant stop her and i know my dogs are going to die waaay earlier than they should.

I told her that even though she isnt meaning to, she is KILLING our dogs! She is too stubborn and I dont know what to do!!

Please help!

I have a 30 gallon tank with stand, and recently decided to go from freshwater to saltwater.
So to start my reef/fish tank up I need 30lbs of sand? 30lbs of live rock?

Now I need to know what kind of heater for a 30 gallon tank (i eventually want soft corals as well, but not until 6 months or so so my tank is fully cycled)

What type of light is best for the top of my tank are, 30 x 12 3/4'

What type of protein Skimmer, filter, powerheads, and will I need a sump?

Is it possible for a cat to be immune to fleas? One of my cats has never had fleas, but new one just cant get rid of them despite vet treatment, combing and treating the whole house.

ps - i am now treating my old cat just to be on the safe side!

He does not have full use of his limbs he is sliding everywhere. His pupils are going from huge to tiny slits. He has tried to eat our food and drink which is something he has never done. I don't know what to do for the best.

He was real fine last night today he seems to have no energy. Last night he ate some week old turkey lunch meat and some pistachios. I called the vet and she said as long as he is drinking he should be ok. I feel as if I should be doing more. He does not seem to be getting any worse. His fever comes and it goes. His nose is cold his tounge and gums look normal. His ears seem cold. He has no desire for food. The only thing I notice is he has sleepers below his eye.

my 5 months cocker spaniel was diagnosed with sarcoptic mange today.she was given an ingection to help stop her scratching and i was given shampoo to wash her with tomorrow.she is crying and scratching alot and is gettin sores all over her from the scratching.it should start getting better tomorrow when i wash her with the shampoo but in the meantime is there anything i can do to make her more comfortable?should i let her sleep inside because mange can pass onto humans?can it makes dogs serouisly ill?im very worried about her

Hi guys, I rescued my little guy from a kill shelter back in November. He was only about 6 weeks old. His name is Pudge (fits him perfectly) and he's got quite long hair. My mom and I are almost positive that he is a Siberian. Maybe full siberian, but perhaps he may have some sort of mix too. Here are some pictures:

He may look a little lazy in the pics - but I assure you he is the most playful, loving cat I've ever met. I also have 2 older female cats, an orange tabby and a siamese/calico mix. He loves *trying* to play with them, but they are a bit snooty to him and just want to lay around :) Anyways thanks for your help!

shes about 3 years old. shes a tabby cat. we feed her canned food. my dad told me today that she has not been eating for accouple of days..i pet her head today and she was VERY cold. my dad gave her some hairball remedy food the other day. and my mom has been spraying cockroach spray around the pool patio where she eat sleeps defecates etc. please help. ive lost my other cat before her time and i dont want to lose another.

dont know if you have read the questions that,,,,worried breeder as posted well ive got same proplem but my pups are only 11days old ,ive been to vets thay are on antibiotics ,could my pups have giardia??? theres no blood in there poo ,mums ok ,i will be worming them in 3 days ,,today is there 4th day on antibiotics and there poo is still runny and yellow it looks like frog spurn in it ,so please no smart answers ,im having her fixed as soon as pups are weaned ,i hope all the people that answered her r on er still

One gerbil of my gerbils has a tumor, and is losing his fur. He sleeps like all day, he is still eating and drinks a lot. I feel bad for him, and can't even look at him. He has a large blad spot on his neck, and is almost 2 1/2 years old. I wanted to get his tumor removed, but I'm only 14, and don't have money to pay for it. He also has a good risk of not making it through. Will they charge me to put him out of his pain? How much? Please, no rude comments. I'm already upset about this as it is.=(
