it could be several thingsI would first take a stool sample to eh vet and have it checked, It could be worms and if so I would strongly suggest getting the wormer from teh vet not teh over the counter. It could be coccidia, could be something else a stool sample should help.If you worm the pups make sure you worm mom as if they have worms it's comng form the milk meaning the worms ore from mom.

Hi, don't panic because they're on antibiotics already and that can only do good! The ' frog-spawn ' you describe is mucus, their bowels are still young obviously and only used to dealing with Mums milk, this will clear once the drugs are in their system. I'm not knocking your vet but i would have thought that giving Mum something like an antibiotic injection would be more beneficial as the pups are still feeding from her and they've obviously picked up the ' germ ' from her in the first place. Has the vet said anything about them having worms? These they can get from Mum as well and make the babies very ill. Keep on with the tabs and i'm sure they'll be fine but if your at all worried please go back to your vet, tghose babies are precious. Good luck and well done for your prompt vet attention.

Are the puppies nursing ok??
Your Vet put them on antibiotics, did he look at their poo? A simple examination under a microscope would more than likely tell him what was wrong.
Did he say why he put them on the antibiotics?
They take awhile to kick in and work.
If they are nursing well, then give them until monday.
If they are not nursing TAKE THEM NOW!
