ive noticed my water dragon has the head of a meal worm poking out of his side near the shoulder

i have two water dragons, and have never encountered such a thing, if i had i would definitly take them along to my vet as an emergency, i wouldn't waste valuable time on here. Good luck.

well I know with tortoises you have to cut the head off of meal worms or they will eat their way out of the tortoise! this may be true with water dragons, you should find an exotic vet!!

It's an old wives tale that the mealworms or superworms can eat their way out of the stomach. They are chewed up, and the stomach acids would kill them quickly. I doubt it's a mealworm coming out of his shoulder--could it be stuck there? Or maybe it's a growth or something like that. Have a reptile vet check it out asap.
