how long will she be in heat and how often will she come into heat I have only had her for 1 1/2 months and have to take her in to be sprayed.

she will be in heat 21 days (3 wks) they normally come in every 6 months

You dog is probably less than 6 months old, if you have had her for 1.5 months, and you would have received her at around 8 weeks old. Dogs come into heat twice or more a year. Its not a real big rush to get her spayed since she is so young. unless she is around alot of other male dogs.
I would wait until the heat is over, you can tell when the swollen tissue around the back end reduces and she is back to normal. If you don't want her to have puppies, I would book an appointment in the 9 month old area, and get her spayed. If you wait too long though, like 2 or 4 years, it is not recommended as they can get another illness from that.
When my poodle came into heat once when I was away, my friends put her in diapers!! which was hilarious.

they are in heat fro 21 days and as a rule of thumb every 6 months but this can vary in each dog. i would wait a mnth and get her spayed call now and make an appointment so you won't have to worry about the heat again. Do keep a very close eye on her sl she doesn't get bred.

About 3 weeks completes the heat cycle, but she will only be receptive a few days - be very careful if she is already in heat, she will try to get to a male and males will sure try to get to her.
She will go into heat twice a year, about every 6 months.
Please get her spayed asap.
