Some cats are loving and affectionate, and some are "Don't Touch Me!!!" cats. Depends on how you lift them also, you may not be supporting them enough, making them afraid you will drop them or they will fall.

Some do. A lot of kittens like to be lifted and played with, but a lot of old cats don't like to be picked up.

This matter rests on entirely the cat. Some do and some don't. Cats are independent animals, therefore they do what they like.

Some cats prefer attention and cuddles, this may be something to do with how they are bought up.

If hand reared, they tend to prefer being handled, and are generally friendlier than the average cat.

It also depends on your technique of picking up cats.

Cats are like people or any other animal....some do hate it, some don't hate it, some want to be held constantly. My sister has a cat that rides on her shoulder all the time. She has another that will bite you if you try to pick her up. Preference.

If it is by their tails then yes they hate being lifted.
If you hurt the cat when lifting it then the cat hiss and growl and even try and bite. If you lift them gently and carefully they don't mind.

If they are only lifted constantly, maybe like 3 times a week they wouldnt mind it. They need freedom!
But I hear many cats dont like being liften because it squashes theyre insides together and thats not nice
thats why i sed not constantly :)

depends on the cat. to ensure the cat's comfort while being lifted, be sure to support the area between its front legs while you're lifting from underneath its belly or bottom.

I've got two Bengal cats and the female one was bred in a house and loves me to carry her all over the house with me. She moans at me if I go in another room without her. On the otherhand my male was bred and spent his first 13 weeks in a makeshift garden shed and he just about tolerates a cuddle when I come home and in the mornings but hates it any other time and wriggles to get free.

It also depends on how safe they feel in your arms too. If they think they are going to fall they will struggle to jump free.

Can be a bit risky doing this unless it!s your own cat. Nearly all cats love to be lifted or stroked, head scratched once they get to know you but their are the ones that will soon let you know if they object or not, so be cautious.

It depends on the cat, really. My mom's cats love being picked up and held. But my boyfriend's cat hates it. She'll cry until you put her down. I guess it depends on how they were handled as kittens.
