When I was young we used to wash our dogs with lindane.. i think that is how you spell it but i'm not 100% sure though. Lindane is a dip that treats mange. Our dogs were cured in no time. If she has sores, try putting some ointment or creme on there.

Sarcoptic mange mites are very itchy. Shampoo her today, that will help. What is the shot he gave? It should have been something to kill the mites, not for itching. They can have benedryl, which might help and is safe. Call your vet and ask for other options. They usually need 2-3 mite treatments to get rid of the mites. Humans can get sarcoptes from close contact with the dog, not casual contact. Don't let her sleep on the bed.

Try calling your vet and ask them if there's anything that you can do between now and tomorrow's bath. You might be able to apply something to the skin to soothe it temporarily. If your vet is already closed, you can try calling an emergency animal clinic- I've done that for issues with my dog and they've always given me advise without making me bring him in.

Rather than making her sleep outside, just try to confine her to one room (probably not a bedroom) and clean her bedding frequently.

I looked up sarcoptic mange, and there was nothing on any site to indicate that it can cause serious illness. So don't worry, your puppy is just very uncomfortable, but she will be okay now that she's getting treated.

I'm so very sorry I know that can be upsetting. I hate it when any of my babies are hurting but, you cannot let her in b/c it can be passed to humans.
I know it's hard to hear her in pain but I don't know of anything you could put on her skin or fur. She could lick it off & you can't have her ingesting something to make her even more sick.
Check out a couple of websites on mange and see if there are any home remedies or natural means to stop the itching for the time being.
