By truly hard to catch, I mean, I've done all the suggestions I've seen here and other places. In fact, I just bought the horse a month ago...was told he was hard to catch....and started working with him right away. I've only ridden him once, I haven't "worked" him hard, I've haltered him to feed, I go out and visit often -pet and treat, etc. without making him work. All of a sudden, today he's IMPOSSIBLE to catch. HELP I run him around and do all the atypical 'round pen' type of trying to catch. It doesn't work!!

Yesterday at about 3pm I walked into my backyard to do some work and I heard a commotion in the grass.I looked over to find 2 rattlers, mating! I ran it the house and watched them through the top portion of the dutch door. They were both between 3 and a half and 4 feet long. I nervously called my BF and he said "watch them, make sure they don't go under the house"ok, well-I agreed to this not knowing that this mating ritual can take quite a while. So, time passes and I think they are done-but they are slightly out of my site being behind a tree trunk.I went pee, and came back to find them about 10 ft apart. One was headed down the canyon. The other was pointed towards the house but slightly towards the same direction the other one went. The phone rang and I went inside to answer it. I came back and I couldn't find the one pointed towards the house. 1) how close do they normally live to where they mate and 2) approximately how old were these guys? PS - these are northern pacific rattlers

Before the usual suspects leap in and tell me to get her spayed, I must explain. She is a pedigree Burmese and I want her to have a litter. I have a stud all lined up but she's 9 months old now and there's no sign of her coming on heat. Do you think she's sterile? She's happy, active and well fed.

I have a 50 gallon with 3 guppies 2 mollies and some fry. I bought a young silver angelfish yesterday and asked the guy if it would be okay with full grown guppies; and I knew they would eat small fry. He said it would be fine with my fish and it really shouldn't mess with my fry. After bringing home my angel and reading up on him; it seems the guy at the fish store was wrong about everything. What r ur opinions and experiences? I really like the angel and want to get more; but not if it jeopardizes my exisiting fish. TY for the info. I have already asked this questions but would like a few more responses before I return it. I'm pretty ticked off at the store. Thanks.

can i feed my bettas the 'seamonkeys' from the toy store to my beloved beta fish???

2007-07-24 05:29:19 · 6 answers · asked by Anonymous in Fish

Okay, so I want another pet. I own two cats-one hunter and one princess-two scorpions, and now I want a snake. So far the ball python has been appealing to me. I've read that this snake can max out at 5ft-which isn't people-eating size but its big for a cat. My fear is that it will get out and I will be lessened by 2 cats. People at petco tell me that they feed them rabbits which is roughly the size of a cat. So I just want an opinon- can I get this python and my cats be safe? Or am I better off get something like a corn snake, which can hit the same length (roughly) but not the same girth- so my kitties can have a shot if it gets out?? And do they have Salmonella shots for snakes (I know thats waayy off subject)?

I have a two year old Jack Russell Terrier that loves the water. She has always played in the water with no problems. Two weeks ago we took her to a lake and after swimming and playing for more than an hour she became sick. We initially thought she must have swallowed too much water, but she became worse. By the time we got to the emergency vet her temperature had dropped, heartrate had dropped, she was shaking and panting with labored breathing. She also had neurological effects such as balance difficulties. The vet thought it may have been a toxin.

Two nights ago, we took her to a completely different lake. After about a hour of swimming and playing she had the start of similar symptoms. By the time we got her back to the emergency vet her temp had already dropped again and she was weak. Since it was a different lake, we know it wasn't the water or a toxin. Her bloodwork showed very low electrolyte levels and after a night on fluids she was fine again. Any ideas that this is?

So i have decided to invest in a new one. Dont need anything top of the range just something reliable easy to use. i notice alot of filters now have self priming so u dont have to syphon water into filter to get it started.my tank holds 29.63 gallons (uk) 134.69 litres. My dog's been shedding like crazy and he's got a small sack-like lump under his arm filled with like puss and there are a few hairs coming out of it but it's odd! He's only 8. I called the vet and they said to put flax seed oil in his food. What could this be? I need some ideas. Could it be cancer?
