i think he would like the 100 gallon more he will be healthy and happy in that tank you could probably get 2 in the 100 and 2 in the 90 if you really like them and get gravel at the bottom not sand Oscar which are in the cichlid family like to move rocks around and basically landscape it themselves and don't put live plants in it will destroy them and Oscars are big eaters so don't just feed once everyday feed it 2 big meals a day and Oscars love to play so you can drop a pig pong ball in and he will bite it and carry it to the bottom and watch it float back up to the top and will do this until the ball just sinks then it will bat it around and another thing don't feed it feeders fish to often once a week or so because then it will get sick from lack of nutrition and wont be a happy fish

Either one would make a fine home for an Oscar, but personally I would use the 90 gallon becuse of it's over all shape and simply because while Oscars need space, the 90 will give him all he needs and you can use the 100 for other things.

I would go with the 90 gallon. Oscars love alot of water but the 100 gallon you described is 1/2 the width of the 90 I bet.
They need width as much as length.

Don't listen to Hannah, Oscars and gold fish DO NOT GROW TO THE SIZE OF THE AQUARIUM. They just get killed off as babies if you stunt them, and it is a painful death. She is right tho that bigger is better. Either is good for just one oscar, but 100 would be great (just make sure it's wide enough for turns:) )

When it comes to Oscars, the bigger, the better. Oscars, like goldfish, grow with the size of their enviroment. If they are bigger, they have a better chance of living longer. If trauma happens, like they get bit or scratched, a bigger fish will be more likely to survive. So go with the 100 gallon.
