So, these last few days I have been noticing bloody spots on my cats head and legs. She has had this before and when I took her to the vet. They said it was soemthing she got into and gave me soemthign for it. It cleared up within a week. But this time its worse. I don't know what its from. I keep her in my room this time to see if maybe so got into something downstairs. But the spots came back. I need help with this.

Also the bloody spots are big like the size of a quarter.

It's probably the same thing she had before. Go back to the vet and get some more treatment.

When you say bloody spots, are they scabs, open wounds? Can you describe them a bit more. I am an LVT and the first thing I think of is a flea allergy or food allergy if the areas are scabby. Even if she is an indoor cat, it is still possible for her to have fleas. I would treat with a topical flea preventative from your vet (Frontline, Revolution, etc) Absolutely DO NOT use one from over the counter at a store (Hartz, Biospot) they cause reactions such as seizures. If after treating for fleas she still has these spots you may need to try a different food or antibiotics for a dermatitis. Is she itchy? If so you can give benadryl to help with the itching. Hope these ideas help.

If the spots are the size of a quarter your cat is most likely licking or scratching the spots and making the problem worse by creating an open wound. My cat had similiar wounds from having itchy skin and overgrooming/bitting himself. He would also claw at his head and face, leaving smaller blood spots. I suggest taking him to the vet. The vet might recommmend anti-microbrial topical cream to help in case of the presence of a fungus or skin itch. Hope this helps!!

I really suggest taking her to the vet, again. It could be an infection that is bothering your cat, or you could probably watch your cat closely the next time and store away any glass or objects that could've caused the bloody spots. Also, make sure she's clean or doesn't have any fleas and that your house is clean. Right now, you should take her to the vet A.S.A.P.

Does the cat by chance have any fleas at all? Sometimes if they have any, the fleas bite them & cause blood spots. Other than that I have no idea!

Could it be fleas? Try de-fleaing her, but maybe the vet should see her again.
