My cat is very hyperactive that he plays with everything he lays his hands (paws) on. I wonder if is it because of his food or is it because he's often alone at home everytime I go to work. Does he lack attention?

I am having a hard time house training our dog. We got him last week and he was about 6 to 8 weeks old. I let him out and he goes but I have to chase him for like 30 minutes just to get him to come back ot me and when you are doing this at 3 or 4 in the morning it is not fun. I am trying the leash thing but he will have no part of it. He runs from me when I try to get it on him. When we are outside he refuses to go and I will stay out there for about 30 to 45 minutes so he has plenty of time to go. He won't do it. He will literally wait until he gets back in the house and go in the spare bedroom and go there. I don't know what kind of dog he is either so i don't know if this is a breed issue or not. We believe he is part rott and something else. But then again he kinda has a hound dog face and ears. But thanks in advance to all who answer. I appreciate it, Holly

i bought a 6 mo foal from a friend and he hates to be alone...but my 25 yr old morgan mare tried to kill him and he cant always be with my 4 yr old appaloosa or they will get herd-bound. ive tried everything to keep him comfterable but this morning while i was turning my appaloosa out he kicked down his stall door to be with her. I have a big draft cross i could put with him but i dont know if he would try to hurt my foal like the morgan did. I was going to keep him a stallion but if this keeps up i might get him gelded.

My 11 week old German Shepherd pup, eats his own poo. He literally turns around with great pride as to say "Oops, did I do that, let me get rid of it for you", is there any solutions to this like putting something in his food that will make his poo taste bad.?

I have a 15 week old flemish giant and I can't seem to get him to stop biting my boyfriend and occassionally me. When I try to hold him he nibbles then licks and when I've "held him too long" he chomps down on my arm, chest, leg, where ever he can sink his big teeth into. He's not a small baby bunny anymore; almost 7 lbs to be exact. I don't want this problem to continue when he's older and full grown (15 pounds- 8 months). What can I do now to stop his biting??Please help!!!

I am fostering two kittens for my local animal shelter. They were both strays and undernourished. They are app. 4 months old. One of them is doing great, gaining weight and playing a lot by himself and with my two adult neutered cats.

The other kitten is definitely the runt. He is about half the size of his brother, is desperatly stupid, will not play, can't even sit straight, meows loudly day and night. On top of this he is very ugly; tiny body, big head, tiny beady eyes (one smaller than the other). Only positive aspect is that he eats fine and is gaining weight steadily.

If I bring him back to the shelter they might put him down. I feel so guilty and torn about doing this although I know in nature a cat like this would never survive. I just feel I am wasting my energy saving this kitten while I could help out with others. This one will never make a good pet or would it? Can he change or is he really showing sings of being brain damaged? Cat lovers, I need your advice!

Okay so my angel fish are laying eggs on a plant. I would like information on what to do now.

Also, there are other fish in the tank too. Will they eat the babies? Should I take them out of the tank?

Hi, Chase's mom here - I am looking for some tips/stories/advice/articles, anything really. I brought home a 7-week old kitten last week and Chase is very angry and I understand that. They officially met face to face yesterday. It went well as far as there not being any sort of fight or real aggression, but chase is growling the entire time little Max is out. I understand the territory factor and he obviously has submission from the other two cats in the home - everyone agrees, he is Top Cat. The things that is probably bothering me most, is that he is mad at me. He doesn't want me to pet him and just looks away when I talk to him. I have been laying on lots of extra love on him and even singeling him out to get treats, etc... I'm worried that he is getting stressed and that he is unhappy and I really hope he adapts to his. Has anyone been through something similar. Have you had your cat turn from you and if so, did he change back to being lovable?

The dog I had growing up just passed away and I am currently looking for a nice urn for her. She was my beloved companion for 16 years and I want to honor her with more than just a pine box but it seems everywhere I have looked all sell pretty much the same thing. Any help will be much appreciated.

My little shih-poo's breath smells so bad, like an accumulation of spit. I've tried everything to get rid of the foul odor, brushing her teeth, putting scope in her waterbowl, giving her spearment gum, placing listerine pocket-packs on her toung, even yelling at her. Nothing seems to be working. Whenever I give her a denta-bone, she poops smelly and green for at least 2 days. Please help this foul-mouthed little pooch. Thanks

my cat bites when playing, not hard - he never digs his teeth in or anything... should this be discouraged or is it okay and normal?

I have done some research on the web and with our lifestyle (we work full time) we are conisdering this breed of dog as it appears not to suffer from separation anxeity as compared to other small dog breeds (e.g. Shih Tzu, Maltese etc..) Anyone own one and can vouch for this?
