An Avairy is a big cage/collection of little cages to keep birds in - for example when you go into a pet store there are cages with lots of canaries & cockatiels etc thats an avairy. Breeders/bird enthusiasts normally keep these in back gardens. Hope thats ok for you.

Aviary

An aviary is an enclosure for confining birds. Unlike cages, aviaries allow birds a larger living space in which to fly and simulate a natural environment. Large aviaries are often found in the setting of a zoological garden. Home aviaries are popular with fanciers who have the space for them.

Pittsburgh is home to the USA's National Aviary, perhaps the most prominent example of an aviary not set inside a zoo.

The Saint Louis Zoo is home to the 1904 World's Fair Flight Cage. It is one of the few structures that remains from the Louisiana Purchase Exposition. In 1904, it was the largest bird cage ever built. It remains one of the world's largest free-flight aviaries. The 228 feet long, 84 feet wide, and 50 feet high cage was built specifically for the St. Louis World's Fair. Local pride in the giant cage motivated St. Louis to finally establish a zoo in 1910.

Typically a large, enclosed facility where birds are kept in captivity, but are allowed to fly freely. In other words, a zoo for birds.

A very big cage for birds to fly in. I wish I had enough room to own one. It can also be used indoors or out.
