I'm not complaining or anything... But, my cat (Meeko, male, Age 4) is so affectionate with me.
Example: If I'm walking around he'll jump off of a counter or a table and jump right on to my back and won't let go. He wraps his arms around my neck, purs and licks me all over my face, and plays around in my hair.
Also, he follows me everywhere!! He won't leave me alone! I even try to run away from him and hide, but he follows and finds me!
He also sleeps with me every night... And, even wakes me up in the morning (he brings his toys to my bed, so I can play with him)
I'm just wondering, are most cats like this? I really love my cat, he's like my best friend - but sometimes I don't feel like playing with him all the time... IF I DONT play with him, or if I ignore him, then he'll just come up to me and bite me...
PLUS, I am the only person in my family that he is affectionate with. He never plays or licks, or purs when he's near other family members - and he also attacks everyone but me!

ok, so i always try to search other questions b4 i ask one but i didnt do so well this time. im trying to figure out if my cat has fleas, its very odd beacuse my cat seems to be only infested on her lower back above her tail. i thought there were a swarm of them tho bacuse of all the black specs. someone said the black specs are flea poop? correct? i dunno, i saw all the flea poop all over and then i saw this brown looking small worm on her skin that ran off in her fur, im not familiar with ticks, but i thought they latched on, he was running......i need to know what my cat seems to have, and how to rid her and the other two cats of it. i just applied hartz flea and larvee drops to their necks and bit on the ones lower back.......i want to get rid of the "poop" though for her, someone suggested dawn dish soap to clean them with, is that ok for them? and if i do that ill be washing all the hart flea stuff off, shuld i buy more and get the 3 in 1 for fleas, ticks, and larvee?

The #1 training problem I have seen throughout my life with any breed or mutt dog is failure to come when called. The owners involved almost always say something like "my dog is stupid and purposely doesnt come when I call because he likes to get revenge" or "my dog doesnt listen to me because he is bad and likes to run away".... Meanwhile they dont even realize that they themselves actually trained the dog not to come when called. They never ask Why doesnt my dog come when I call him/her, they assume it is because the dog is stupid, vengeful, or just likes to ignore them. The fact is in 99.99% of these cases the owner has caused and continues to reinforce the behaviour... usually it all goes back to the original training. Example... a dog escapes the yard, the owner calls the dog and then when the dog comes, the owner punishes the dog for running away in the first place. Doesnt matter what kind of punishment, yelling, hitting, squirting, restraining(leash, crate, chain) its all

My partner and i just got a puppy, but we are finding it hard to housetrain the puppy, because when we put down poo pad for him, he just sleeps on it and when you take him outside to do a wiwi he doesn't do it outside the moment you bring him in on the pad he wouldn't do it but will the moment he steps into the lounge room.

This is halarious. Mydaughter called today and told me that her 3 young kittens got locked out of where their litter box is last night, by accident. She woke this morning and noticed that it smelled in the bedroom, looked around the floor, didn't see anything. Slept out on the couch till morning. This whole time her live in boyfriend is asleep in the bed. When she went back in the bedroom, she noticed the smell, and looked around some more, under the bed, etc. Then she looks ON the bed, and her boyfriend is asleep on his side. Up an down the side of his body is 5 different piles of cat poop. All different shapes and color, so she knew it was all three of them. Of course he was covered up with the comforter, so it wasn't on his skin. By this time I was laughing my *** off, and so was she. She could hardly tell the story, she was laughing so hard. I told her to check his shorts for skid marks. I can't understand WHY would these cats choose him to poop on? LOL

i have a 7 week old kitten and he loves attention but when it comes down to us playing he bites really hard, does this mean he is going to be a visious and aggressive cat when he grows up or is this just part of his learning curve in life

and yet it is never anything to do with the dogs intelligence etc it is the owner who has no idea how to train the dog and thus creates the behaviour problems. I have seen countless questions on here where people say things like "My dog is bad because it barks" "My dog is mean because it attacks other dogs/cats" "My dog is stupid because he wont come when I call or do what I say"

All of those statements are practically idiotic, dogs arent bad, stupid or mean because of those reasons... they can develop unwanted behaviours because of lack of good training or no training at all, or improper training. Whatever way you look at it, in every case where someone states something similar to the above comments it is their own ignorance of dogs and training that causes these problems and it is not the dog. What do you think??

My cat suddenly lost interest in food and water about four days ago. I took him to the vet immediately. The vet can't find anything wrong with him. All test results are normal including bloodwork and xrays. He's been getting shots of fluid but this is getting expensive with little results. Am I just being jerked around? I spent $250 for 2 visits and my cat is just getting weaker. I don't have much money and have been charging the bills on my credit card. Any advice?

One of my cats is pregnant. The pregnant cat is just over a year old (I put off getting her fixed and she escaped around thanksgiving and came home a week later with a belly, will get her "fixed" after kittens are weened). My other cat is a 2 year old spayed cat. The older "fixed" cat is a sweet cat, but shy with strangers and children. She's close with the pregnant cat (grooms her and plays with her), they've been house mates for over a year. Should I try to keep the non-mama-to-be cat away from the litter when it comes? Would it be OK to wait and see how she acts around the babies? She's not an agressive type. We want to do thes best we can for all the cats (2 ladies and the soon to be babies). Any advice would be nice. Thanks:)

2 Dalmation Mollies

4 Tiger Barbs

Do i have too many fish in my tank and are they too crowed? If i do have to many, what do i do? Also, don't worry since i have a school of tiger barbs they do not pick on the tetras and always keep to themselves. Thank you!

I got my cat when he was 6 weeks old and had already been neutered. I have four other cats (2 male, 2 female), and two big dogs. The cat is definitely the alpha of all of them. He controls all the cats and has begun trying to display dominance over the dogs by jumping up and biting them on the backs of their necks, like a male does a female cat. I've never had a cat like this before. What should I do about it?

My pit bull is 5 months old. He was 8 weeks old when I first go him. He was very active for the first month, but after that, he doesn't like to do anything. He hardly plays now and all he does is sleep. Even when I call him, he takes his time to walk to me. He has had all his shots, his bowels are normal, and he eats regularly. What's going on with him?

My cats eye is red on the corners and very runny and glassy. She is keeping it half closed and it seems to be irritating her. Anything I can do at home or does she need a vet?

I have recently adopted my kitten called Mog. She's approx. 5 months old and has settled really well into my home but I have a couple of issues. The first is that she has really bad wind, and believe me it stinks! My vet and i thought we had cracked the problem by giving her a mixture of wet kitten food and dry complete food, but she still stinks!! I've tried dry food alone, and wet food alone, but to no effect. Any ideas on how to stop her farting?!! The other issue I'm concerned about is that she was found as a stray living outdoors, but the vet told me to keep her in for at least 4 weeks. She seems to be ok with this, but loves to sit at the window when it's ajar, and has occasionaly sat at the front door when it's open. Is it really ok to keep a cat as a house cat, and what should I expect when she's on heat? She hasn't been "done" yet and the vet won't advise it for a further year because of the treatment she's receiving for skin problems. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
