I have a male boxer who is 68lbs. We rescued him from a shelter and I didn't notice it then, but now (a few weeks later) I notice that he looks skinny. Like I can see his back bones. Now we had to take him to the vet right after we got him and he had an ok check, got a good bill of health so I wonder if he is loosing weight. I am feeding him good dog food (our friend works in feed and recommended it) and I just started feeding him 3cups instead of 2 cups a day. Is there anything else I should be doing, or is this normal? He is a very large dog so maybe his bones just stick out, I don't know it just seems odd to me.

I have a black lab that always tries to hump our chiwauwau, and an english bulldog that always tries to hump the lab. By the way, the chiwauwau is the only female. Any way to stop this dirty, dog-porn behavior?

I have two cat's that play as they should, and have taken him to the vet after a breakout. The vet thinks it's from the cat play and claws (which it did look like). but now he has another sore on his brow along with little ones araonund his eyes. He seems not to be bothered....acts like nothing is wrong , but we worry. This is the alpha cat of the two also. Used to b a vet on 'Answers' .. I need a second opinion. TIA OH! , the other cat never has this problem.

My cat like to eat everything, including candy. so when we were sitting there I put a peppermint mint drop in his mouth. Afterwards he was acting really weird and ran off and when I finally caught him he had a beard of foam coming out of his mouth. I open his mouth under the sink and rinsed it out. he was happy when i rinsed it out.

I can't stand cats. Why do middle aged 'single and loving it women' love them? If you want a true companion, get a dog. You won't find a more loyal creature. Cats ruin your furniture, jump on your counters, cough up on your carpet and then when you're ready to pet them, they turn and walk away. Then, when you're trying to kick back and relax, they put their a$$ in your face. They jump on your chest, then start backing up like the shuttle trying to dock with the internation space station. Damn cats. Worthless.

By the way, does anyone want my cat? He's an orange tabby; very friendly.

I have a 1 year old Boston terrier who is really the coolest dog ever.I trained him all the basics; house training, obidience and i also taught him games. But about six months on from house training him he strated peeing everywhere. He knows its wrong and often has the back door open for him. He has not been castrated and i wonder if it him trying to be an alpha male. So i ask two questions, how do i get the smell and colour of his pee out of my wool carpet and why he keeps peeing.

i have 4 cats 2 adults one 6 month and one baby. about 9 weeks old. my 6month and one of my older cats love to eat the adult dog food i put out for my dog. she's odl adn going blind. so she has to have senior formula. even though the cats have a completly fll food bowl. they still sit at the dog bowl and eat the dog food and act as if htey enjoy it very much. i pull them away and smack them but they do it again. i need help! and is it bad for them ot eat it? and if so how do i get it to stop?

Yes sadly it is true! I am trying to investigate this more and I need help on finding websites on petsmarts and petco's that put animals in the freezer when they are sick or injured, and instead of the doing to humane thing and helping them they just throw them in a frezzer and leave them for dead! We have a horse that is 15 years old, not really old but thanks to the moron that fed him a 5 gallon bucket of feed and foundered him back in the spring he is now showing signs of arthritis with the weather changing. This horse is my baby and I refuse to get rid of him. I know there is stuff that you can get to help but for the life of me I can't remember what it is called and does anyone know of any other tricks to help make him more comfy. He is fine in good weather just the cold and damp time gets to him.

My nieghbor bought a dog a year ago- Never brings it in the house. They keep the garage door open and put the food and water inside. Rain, sleet and snow- 100 degrees or freezing the dog is outside. The dog continues to get thinner by the day- Is this legal????

Can you tell me why my Great Dane puppy (8months) play fights with my son (19) when my son has him jump to his chest (like "give me a hug") paws at shoulders. he mouths at him (not biting) and low growl. My son doesn't like or encourage him to do this and he doesn't do it with anyone else who let's him jump on them like that. It becomes a conflict because it irritates my son and I don't like it. Does anyone know what the dog is "saying" when this happens. Just the other day my brother - n- law let him do that and he just licked his face and did mouth him but no growling or getting too out of control. I've told my son not to let him do it all, but he likes getting the hug and other people let the dog do it too. Sorry if this is confusing, and please only respond if you know what I'm trying to say and you have a suggestion.
