I am trying to investigate this more and I need help on finding websites on petsmarts and petco's that put animals in the freezer when they are sick or injured, and instead of the doing to humane thing and helping them they just throw them in a frezzer and leave them for dead! I need help on find websites on this so I can send them to the company Please Help!

That is not true. It is already been investigated in state of California and none of statelinetack, Petsmart nor Petco has involvement in this "freezer killing".
What happened was a person did not know animals were placed in to freezers to be picked up (as Petsmart and Petco, as other animal related stores are not allowed to dispose the animals).
These animals are already dead. Just as humans that go to the Morg, the freezer is the animals morg to slow down decomposion until it is picked up to be disposed of.
Just because you read about it, doesn't mean it is true. Doesn't mean you should re-act to it either when you don't have the facts nor even witnessed any of this. Can't have a claim on something you have no evidence towards.
I read a lot of websites and have found a lot of UNLEGIT sites discussing FALSE information. Don't fall victim to that...

I worked for Petco for three years and we never once did anything like that. In fact, we once spent $135 to help a "feeder" mouse with a tumor, only to have to have the poor thing euthanized a week later (for another $90). The reason we have a freezer is because of state law regarding the disposal of the bodies (at least here), and the people who pick up the contents only come once a week. It would not be pleasant to have a week old dead hamster sitting in the back room. And despite the best possible care, animals do die.

I do not see how this can be true..This is the first I have seen about it..I buy everything at Petco and Petsmart both...This would be horrible...I would call the stores in your area and the corporate companies as well..If you don't mind would you add more on here about how you found this out and a idea of where the stores in question are located at?? This is very disturbing and I know I will be looking further into it...
I went and talked to a friend that works in the grooming part of our local PetCo...She says this is not happening there...Ours is right across from an animal no kill shelter and they do alot for the shelter...When you buy somthing they are always asking to give more money for the shelter or to buy and donate items...The shelter only does dogs and cats though..However they work with the shelter to find homes for other animals that are having issues once they max out the vet costs set by the higher ups...Also PetCo has signs all over about adopting pets before buying them...And the pets they sell are fixed to help stop the amount of on the street pets with no home...The hole store here got in on this last night..Even the highest manager type person that was at home when I went to talk to my friend came into the store when we called her about it...They are planning on letting the higer ups know about your question Monday morning..They said it is policy to check into these things because the whole chain can be shut down lots of fines and major jail time for several people...And they are not in the business to be shut down..yes it is a business so the goal is to make as much money as you can...However they say you have to be reputable and treat your animals well..Said that people will pay the higher costs when they know the animals are treated well in the stores...I would I know...Also they showed me the frezer as well..They do keep dead animals in there for up to a week because they bodies are only picked up once a week..Animals die and they die in pet stores at times we all know this..and like I have stated they are there to make money so they do not want their animals dieing...The freazer is set up like a little mourge but animal sized...Very respectable considering they are dead...I also was shown the papers you have to sign when starting work there and they state any treatment deamed crule and your booty is out the door and sitting in jail...They have signs up about how to handle the dead animals even the fish...I figured they just flushed them like we do at home..Nope they don't do that even..It's crule they say..

Aside from contacting the ASPCA or PETA and maybe calling the Humane Society into their store on a regular basis every time you see a violation at their store there is really nothing you could do legally. If you are taking "Here-say" which pictures from a website is, it is second hand information that bears a limited or faulted sense of truth, as a basic fact and posting them online as truth you could be held liable for slander and defamation as well. So I would be careful what you post and say unless you yourself have seen and taken these pictures. I can almost be sure you have not been in the factory where they breed the animals. The Humane Society has for many years cracked down on animal handlers and in a effort to make it more humane for the animals to live, so it is likely the "Facts" you are talking about are old news and have already been fixed.

Petsmart does not. I use to work there for 5 years. They would take a hamster that was brought back sick to a vet to have it euthanized. THe only time animals were put in a freezer is when they were already died. A certain vet had to take the bodies and dispose of the corpses. We were not allowed to just throw out the died animal. My store has a special room just for sick animals. They go to an area vet, in north omsted, its the north ridgeville vet, and are either treated or put down by the vet.

You are misinformed. Petsmart does not put animals in freezers to kill them. They spend money at the vets office to help the injured or sick animals. They also have a special sick room for new pets to quarantine them and it also houses the sick & injured.
You really need to get your facts straight before you post messages accusing companies of animal cruelty.

I believe this whole myth accusation thing started with PETA trying to get themselves some publicity. Petco and Petsmart do not put live animals in the freezer. They have rediculous vet bills trying to keep their animals healthy (including even feeder mice as was mentioned earlier).

I agree, this is completely and utterly illegal, it's animal abuse! Where did you hear this and can you prove it? If you can, call someone now and do something about it, forget reasearch. Leave that to the higher ups to do but get someone called in about it. I go to PetSmart for all of my pet supplies and have never heard of this. That is just SICK!!! Why on earth do they even have a freezer??

Ok.. i used to work at a PetSmart, and i've never heard of anything like this happening. Could it be.. there were one or a 'few' jerks that worked at a PetSmart, that did this ?? I haven't looked at the site, because to me..... those sites are just like the "National Enquirer"...... we all 'know' what i mean by that. I've also worked at a Pet Depot...and if that ever happened, in any pet store, the store, and the 'chain', would be shut down for further investigations.
Oh, and that link you put on...... all that is, is one person's OPINION. There are no actual 'facts' stated on that site at all.
