If you think dogs are so damned great, then get a dog!!!

"Oh, Mr. Peepers is just like a dog. He fetches. Get it Mr. Peepers, get it! Oh, silly Mr. Peepers. I'll clean that up later."

Dumb cats.

O.K. lets face it! We have cat people and we have dog people! And then there are a few cross overs who adore both. I have had my share of both thru the years. Both can be equally endearing or exasperating at a moments notice!! I had a dog who nursed a kitten a few years back. The kitten was 3 months old, well over the weaning age and my dog had never had pups but, there they were non the less. It made quite a scene! Any way So I under stand YOU are a dog lover! That's o.k.! But just keep in mind all the cat lovers can come up with plenty of ammunition to block you volleys! So, go ahead and Keep em Comin!!!

One of my cats is just like Shamu. He's big, sleek, mostly inert, black and white, and he can jump powerfully much like a whale when he wants to. He can also knock on a door and once opened it.
Do you have something against cats or dogs? That's not very nice if it's true. I don't trust people who don't like animals.
Mr. Peepers is not a nice name for a cat or a dog. But it is a good name for something else. Guess what that is.

My cats are nothing like dogs. They use a litter box, I don't have to get up and let them in and out of the yard or walk endlessly on cold and rainy days, until they decide to give it up or put it down, whatever you prefer.

They don't bark and raise a ruckus, drowning out the critical part of a show I've been watching for the past hour, just because something moved outside. They don't do disgusting things with my leg or the legs of my guests. They don't pant hot stinky breath in my face. They've never put their nose in a female guest's crotch. I don't have to tranquilize them into lala land during holidays when they shoot off fireworks.

They are intelligent and know it and don't look to me to tell them what they need to do next. My cats are nothing like dogs, although I do like dogs too. Just prefer cats.

Where did you get that stupid assumption? I have a kitten, and no way do I think she acts like a dog.

Oh, and by the way- "they're" is short for "they are", so you sound like an idiot by saying, "Why does every friggin cat owner think THEY ARE cat is 'just like a dog?'"

Dumb Jon M.

Some people treat their cats "like" dogs....that doesn't mean they THINK their cats ARE dogs. Lots of people like to teach their cats 'tricks'..... and it just so happens, that dogs 'do' tricks. If the cats are happy, healthy, and are having a good life with these people... why does it bother 'you' sooooo much ?

Also.. some people cant have dogs due to various reasons..so why not teach a cat !?

Thank God, my cats don't act like dogs. If I wanted a high maintenance animal requiring a lot of training, I would buy a dog. Instead cats are low maintenance and do their own care.

Its because their cat acts like a dog. Which means the cat is not acting like a typical cat. Not eveery cat owner thinks that.

Cat hater? Actually, my dog seems to think she's a cat. She sleeps in the cat's bed and eats the cats food. She even bathes the cat with her tongue.
