You won't get any quality kittens for free.
Go to your local RSPCA and look at the kittens and/or older cats that they have for adoption.
They are not free but only cost between $80 - $125 and have been MC'ed, vaccinated, wormed and most have been de-sexed.
Sometimes, they have breeds other than the standard DSH, DMH or DLH.
Sometimes your local vet will hold a kitten adoption agency.
The cost will vary from $120 - $180, depending on where you live and where you go to get him/her.
Goodluck finding your new cat.

I don't live anywhere near you,,,but,,,when you do adopt..
1) Please remember to spay or neuter your pet as a kindness to the future.
2) Please do not de claw ...it is inhumane!
I suggest that you contact a local small animal vet in your area and ask if they know of any kittens up for adoption.
Good Luck
