What are those cone collar things that cats & dogs wear to keep themselves from biting themselve ect when they get hurt??? My cat has a small bite from another cat on his tail & I want to clean it up & he keeps attempting to bite me, so I just want to get one of those but I have no clue what they are called. Any info would help :) Thanks & have a nice day.

I rescued a male 30lb beagle-daschund mix about 3 months ago. I notice alot of people trim their dog's toenails. Is this really necessary? After all if the dog lived in the wild like its ancestors it obviously would not have a human clipping its toenails. Why do people clip dog's toenails?

There are 6 cichlids about 1" long, so I thought of getting a pair of bala sharks 2.5-3", can they be good tank companions with cichlids?
Are they sensetive or hardy in nature? I've read about them much that they are bit tough, bu I require a suggestion from an experienced aquarist.

Hey everyone. I have been trying to convince my parents to get me this horse, Orion. I have bonded with this horse, and I am the only person this off the track Thoroughbred trusts. I have found a way to pay off board. Board covers hay, feed, shavings, stall, turnout, worming, blanketing, and booting. I have learned how to trim hooves correctly, so I will be able to do that myself. All I would have to pay for is the yearly dental exam and teeth floating, I buy and inject the vaccinations- I can do this- prior experience. My parents wouldn't have to pay anything except the initial purchase price of $1200. And don't think it is this low because he is a bad horse. He is amazingly skilled and well trained. He just has trust issues with people. Horses are my life and I think it is about time I got one of my own. How can I convince my parents to buy this horse? I have told them my plan, and how I will be able to afford everything and it only costs them a one time cost of $1200. Please help!!

Okay so I have three red eared sliders. One of them is having problems. He has a black sack coming out of his anus and it is pretty big(.5 in). I have heard this may be a prolapse which is very serious but he has had this for many months now and seems to be fine other than that. He is just as active as the other ones and he still eats. I want to know:
1. if this is a prolapse how much does the surgery cost
2. is he in pain(should he be put to sleep if I can't afford the surgery)
3.is in normal that a turtle will survive this long with a prolapse or could it be a crazy tail deformity?
I need advice as much as you can give .
Please help,I love this little guy.

I am no fish expert, and neither is he, so I need a little help. I am going to purchase a new tank, probably 8 -12 gallons, and would like to know the best (colorful, low maintenance, affordable, non-aggressive) types of fish that can live together. Any other useful information, like preferred water temperature or other equipment that I need to buy concerning a specific fish, would be highly appreciated. Also, an estimate of the cost per fish would be great.

This is a surprise (he's brought up getting a fish tank quite a few times in the past year or so) so I can't really ask him his opinion without him getting suspicious. Thanks so much!

Recently, I noticed a large, hard object growing underneath my female rat's front, left leg. She doesn't seem to mind it, and walks like any other rat, she's approaching her. She's a two year old, female, black & white hooded fancy rat, unspayed. Is this a tumor, or what? Do I need to remove it?

My dog just started randomly yelping for no reason what-so-ever.

After a visit from The neighbors new puppy, everytime i open the door or leave the room or do absolutely nothing, my dog yelps like he is in pain.

I took him to the vet the other day and nothing is wrong with him.( before he started yelping)

Any ideas on why hes doing this?
Any ideas on how to stop it?

How can I stop her from peeing on the beds? She has a clean litter pan nearby and yet she will jump on the bed and pees on it. She has peed on other things than the bed. We clean her litter pan every morning and night. I have thought of putting her down because of it. It is gettting to the point where we are fustrated with her. We love her a great deal but this peeing business on our good beds is not approvable. What should we do - get rid of her by either putting her down or giving her to someone else with the knowledge that she pees on beds or keep plastic sheets on our beds when we are not in them?
