Yesterday Mr. Cat (1-1/2 years old, neutered, short-haired male) saw the vet for his shots and check up. Today, there are huge clumps of his hair EVERYWHERE! Could this be from the stress of the vet, or the shots? He had distemper and rabies.

I'd try searching on the internet, but I have to vacuum - all this cat fur!!!!!!!!!!

My family has American Pit Bull Terriors. They have such a bad rap. My dogs wouldnt hurt anyone they are great and LOVE children. Do you know anyone who has been bitten by a DOG or have you been bitten? If so what kind of dog was it? How old was the person that was bitten and where are you in the US? I'm trying to get some statistics here. Please serious answers only.... Thank you all for participating.... Remember dont hate the breed hate the owners who breed them badly and train them to fight.

I live in a small town, the demand for kittens is sometimes greater than the supply. Right now there are 22 adoptable cats, 1 kitten.
Our shelter services 2 small towns and a large rural community and is a no kill shelter. The no kill policy was adopted by the B.C.S.P.C.A. within the past 10 years, I'm uncertain on the exact year.

Shouldn't our community accept overflow homeless cats from other communities. Our S.P.C.A. is well supported by the community.

My cat vomits about once a week. He seems to drink 1 bowl of water a day and eat about 1/2 to 1 bowl of food a day. A week ago he went under my bed and vomited and then ate it. The vet said that eating it was normal since he had vomited what he just ate and it came out in chuncks. In a 1 1/2 years I have taken my cat to the vet 2 times for this and all the test that they ran said there was nothing wrong with him. I am sick of spending $200.00 each time for them to tell me that there is nothing wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments of what to do?

I'm due to have my first child in a few weeks, so I've been putting her nursery together. When I woke up this morning, I noticed that my dog had crapped all over the new carpet in that room! I was really upset. She must have known that she did something wrong because she hid under the bed and wouldn't come out.

I didn't think the new baby would be a problem for her. I had been bringing some of the baby's things in slowly so she wouldn't feel overwhelmed by the change. Is she jealous? How can I help her?

I have recently been dog sitting for someone.
I had a dog whilst I was younger and he never ****** his leg when having a pee! He would lower his back legs.
Now the one I have been sitting is twelve years old and he also lowers his back legs instead of cocking his leg.
My question is why do some dogs raise a leg and others lower their back legs?
Any answers appreciated

My dog has a swollen toe. The vet found it to be a very hard growth which he suspects could be cancerous. The vet injected an anti-inflammatory with prednisalone. Hopefully the swelling should subside. If not we have to do a biopsy to ascertain if the growth is cancerous. Could it be as serious as the vet suspects? Or could it be something different like artheristis or some bone defect? An X-ray was taken but we did not find any fractures either
