I live in a small town, the demand for kittens is sometimes greater than the supply. Right now there are 22 adoptable cats, 1 kitten.
Our shelter services 2 small towns and a large rural community and is a no kill shelter. The no kill policy was adopted by the B.C.S.P.C.A. within the past 10 years, I'm uncertain on the exact year.

Shouldn't our community accept overflow homeless cats from other communities. Our S.P.C.A. is well supported by the community.

I like the way you think. Our town also has a small population of unwanted
cats. We could help reduce the burden of other places with a cat problem.
Maybe the S.P.C.A. s need to band together to explore such options. Good
luck.

You are extremely lucky! I adore cats and there is no shelter like that here. There is a shelter but its not a no kill one. It is overflowing with cats. So many that there are many strays in the town that the city doesn't want to pick up because there is no room in the shelter and they would most likely be euphanized anyway. Its a sad situation here......

There are no much cats around her, my next door neighbourgh got herself a kitten I guess that if she becomes unaware of it I'll take care of him / her, it so fond of me each time I step out the door and have these amazing blue eyes.
