sure, if you also go with them.

i do not think that it is very humane to raise kittens and throw them out later. if they were human-raised, then they would certainly lack the skills to survive in the streets when they are older as they are accustomed to just waiting and asking for food and shelter from their humans.

if you really like kittens but don't like cats, then you could certainly volunteer to be a foster parent to kittens from shelters. you can help raise kittens then return them to the shelter if they are older. at least, this way, you also help a lot of people and kittens.

the best thing to do though is consult a psychiatrist. you probably have some emotional dysfunction as it is not normal attitude to like kittens, hate cats, and wanting to throw them out.

go get some help.

You could try being a "foster dad" to abandoned kittens, then you get to give them back when they're older. Check with your local Animal Shelter. Some have foster parent programs.

Though honestly, I don't think you should mention, that you've considered throwing a full-grown cat into the streets to fend for itself. I hear they frown on that sort of thing.

Is it ok to raise kids and let them move out when they're self sufficient? I would stop being a pet owner or give the cats to a good home. Throw them on the streets...what a irresponsible act!!! If my garbage gets torn apart from your cats you can expect a visit from the cops.

No it's not ok to throw the cat out on the street, would you want someone do that to you as soon as you got bigger after being a baby and toss you out like that.? Find someone that would take them. But don't toss them out.

a kitten will always become a cat. personnaly i think they should be treated as any other family member, you wouldn't throw you'r child, mother, father, spouse...etc out on the streets would you.

no, because theyve adjusted to a domestic life and are used to have someone care for them, i.e you. If you let them out suddenly ,they would not know what to do or how to defend themselves if they were attacked. so the answer is no, unless the kittens live outside and are trained to an outside environment.

National Stats
The sad fact is once a puppy or kitten is past its cuteness; or a pet displays behaviors we do not know how to deal with, many pets are discarded like old newspapers. On average 100,000 cats and dogs and puppies are listed on www.petfinder.com, daily. The National Council reports it on Pet Population Study and Policy, from the 5000 or so US agencies who responded to the survey, that over 2 million dogs enter shelters annually. Of those 27% are relinquished by owners, 42% are turned in by animal control, 31 by other sources, of these dogs, 56% are euthanized.
