I was cleaning up my guinea pig, (cleaning his cage, giving him his monthly bath), and i was clipping his nails before i put him in the sink for a bath. And as i was cutting, he jerked at the last moment. I swore all i did was cut the tip that time, but he started to bleed. I grabbed a septic pad and numbed his paw (i think!), but
will he be really sore in the morning, if the septic pad wears off? How long will it take to heal? Will there be anything i can do to ease the pain? Should i wait until the wound heals to give him the bath? (I use soap and water)

I asked a question yesterday reguarding my dog that is in heat. I wanted to let you all know that I took her to the vet today. She had a uterine infection. She is currently at the vet's hooked up to an IV. I said that she had an appointment tomorow, well that appointment was to get her spaid. So, tomorow, if all goes well tonight, she will be spaid. I am so happy that I asked that question, and want to thank you all. My baby won't be back till Friday, I will miss her but it is a small price to pay for a healthy happy dog. Thank you all again

i have three(well we gave one away already, so two) two and a half to three month old mixed chihuahua puppies. They can eat soft food, like moist kibble, canned dog food, tender beef or doggy gravy, but not really dry kibble. The problem is that they are still nursing from their mother and won't leave her alone. They leave red slightly bleeding bumps on the nipples, which means they are biting too hard or maybe the milk is sour. Well im not sure if it's normal for my puppies to still be breast feeding, can you help me and if you can reccomend good puppie chow, snacks, etc.? Also what can I do if it isn't normal? Seperate them? Because they won't eat if they don't have their mommy's milk. On the 18th they will be 3 months old. Also is it bad if I let them have human food like thin turkey slices, ham, weiners, cow meat, pork, etc.? thanx for your help! :)

I have a 5 year old doberman, never been bred. Who, last night adopted a kitten that we were trying to bottle feed (with little success). She has started to produce milk and keeps moving the kitten to her bed. She cleans, feeds, and snuggles with it. She has even chased away our other cat who was bothering the kitten. Is this normal, or harmful to the kitten in any way.

my corn snake is now 14 months old and on medium sized mice every four days. her poo has always been bird like and dry. However, recently she has produced lots of wet and somewhat smelly poo. Is this normal? Is it because the tank is too cold? Any help please.

I thought around this time she would start weaning them. I was told by mama cat's vet to wait until she weans her kittens to get her spayed and i'm patiently waiting. The kittens don't eat any solids and are not interested in any food except mommy milk. I've been trying very hard to get them to eat solids. They are litter trained but that's about it. Is this normal?
