OK, im not sure if this question is from Australia or somewhere else, so i can only say what i think.
I recently purchased a ute rug from Horseland for about $30, it was a double weav so its extra strong. You can also buy single weav rugs which do teh same job -shine up the coat and remove the winter coat.
Try your local saddlery or horse/equestrian shop!

There are several companies who make them.
In the US you can find them at tack stores and saddle shops,
or you can look on-line.
