How do I train him to stay on my finger? I feed him mullet when he does what I want him to do. If I take him in the bathroom where he has no choice, he will stay on my finger and he likes to look at himself in the mirror. As soon as I leave the room OFF he goes. I am gone at work all day. I know he is happy because he squeeks and chirps alot. What can I do to make him not be afraid of me? I love my little bird and I don't want him to be afraid of me.

I have two turtles both are Identical exept one has a long tale the other's one is about half the size. I know that males have long tails females have short ones but the pet shop employee said they are both males. Also... the man who sold them to me said they are GRASS TURTLES but I haven't found such thing on the internet. They have yellow stripes on the heads green and yellow shell, and have reletively flat shells. They have 5 claws and are semi aquatic. What is the SPECIES and what is the SEX of one of them. Can I trust this small store owner?

I have 5 dwarf hammies, (i do not breed), and i went to petco one day to get a new water bottle, and they had a "Hamster Ball Derby" I thought awwww, i want to enter my hammie. I went online, and petco's ALL around the COUNTRY are hosting the Derby, where there is a little track, and a hamster ball is placed on the track. At MSN Hamster groups, people are saying that their hamster was in that derby and that they have wet-tail from the commotion, they take the sick hamsters from the back and race them, so one lady said she swears her hamster has mites, he has been scratching ever since she left that derby! This is outragous! if you are going to own a petshop, YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF THE ANIMALS. Hamsters shouldn't have mites and 'be in the back' ANYWAY! I am glad that i didn't enter my hamster, but to you approve of this? i do not think it is humane! putting an innocent hamster on a track and there's screaming, yelling, cheering, and the poor hamster doesn't know what to do!!

They are male and female. Female was with another male for 6 years. The male died last fall so we purchased another male for her. Now the new male pecks at her all the time.

I worked at an animal shelter for 5 years. I euthanized mixed and purebred dogs every week. I had no choice because simply there are not enough homes. It was very hard for me but I knew that the next day someone irrisponsible owner will drop of 9 lab cross puppies, the owners reason, my lab is purebred and I wanted to breed her. Stupid people. I think that before someone breeds they should go down to there nearest animal shelter and assist with Euthanasias, Then hopefully they will think twice about breeding.
Breeding sucks. It is hard on the dog, Your dog can get cancer. I think it should be manitory for everyone to spay and neuter their pets, unless they have a kennel licence and they want to breed to better the breed, and if they breed then all of the pups get fixed before going to their new homes.

Too many shelter animals die because of Irrisponsible Owners!!

I do use Sentinal but my dog had a bump on her ear about a week ago and now it has doubled. I thought it was just a scab, thats why I didnt do anything at first. What are the ways I can remove it without causing infection or anything? Thanks for any help!
