Go with them to a pet store but don't say anything about a mouse. Then when you and your parents get there kinda ease your way to the mice and show them just how cute the are.And assure them that they will stay in a mouse tank.

I got two pet mice 2months ago it took soooo long 4 my mum to agree i used yahoo to help me it worked!!!!
1) ask nicely (DO NOT NAG, WHINE ECT) please may i have a pet mouse? or I love mice soooo much would i be able to have one?

2) Start tidying your room being responible on the whole your parents will get suspious even more so if you dont usually.

3) Research all about them. you dont need to hide it from them if they ask just say looking about mice.

4) Make a presentation explaining they are clean, cute, friendly, fun, and females dont smell (unless you dont clean them out often enough!

Hope this helps!!! Remember dont nag whine or go into a strop it shows you are not responsible enough. Try and find out why they wont let you have one/two. Is it time money fright?
Offering to pay always helps (even a donation) If it is fright explain that they are as clean as you keep their cage. It does need cleaning twice a week btw it does stink otherwise!!!
They are quite a bit of work but it is well worth it. hope you get your mouse!!!!!! I had this same problem my mum was very reluctant!! this really helped! :)

I think you better buy a pet mouse But not mice.Because mice can ran away very fast if you let him go and they like to bite the handler. But a mouse is different, if his is too fat he can't ran and he don't alway bite the handler unless you make him angry.Tell your parent this is the a advise from a person who work with rats and mice for years.

Ask your parents to explain their objections. If they think mice are dirty, disease-ridden, or something like that, you could research information about pet mice and print it out for them to read. This may or may not work - some fears and misconceptions are deeply ingrained.

However, another possibility is your parents have doubts that you will care for the animal in a manner that will prevent it from creating problems for the household. If that is the case, ask them if they would allow you to demonstrate your dependibility and then reconsider their decision. They can tell you what you would need to do to show them you have what it takes to care for a pet properly for its whole life.

Once the novelty of a new pet wears off, it's normal to feel like taking care of it is a hassle. If you are really ready to take on this responsibility, you will provide the same high level of care when you are excited about your new pet mouse and after you have had it a year.

Though people tend to hate rats more than mice, rats can make MUCH better pets, and it is much easier to convince parents to let you get a rat than a mouse. Mice also have a very musky natural odor, which rats do not (providing you keep their cage clean!).

Rats are much more social than mice, and are very intelligent, trainable, lovable pets! Look on the internet for pages about rats, and you will see lots of cutie pictures (sometimes the pet store rats are not well taken care of and aren't as cute as the ones you will see on the internet).

Most of all, be patient! I wanted a mouse at one point, though later I decided on a rat, and it took 5 years to convince my mom to get me one (she only did after her sister got her two kids rats and heard about how great they were). Good luck!

I can understand their reluctance to have mice. They STINK!! You have to clean their cage out every day otherwise they stink the place out, the whole room will smell like pee. They're cute but pretty gross. Apparently rats don't smell so bad, maybe you could convince your parents to let you get one of them - they aren't nearly as cute as mice though. I think a cat or dog would probably be a more rewarding pet, you could probably form more of a bond with them. If you really must have mice maybe you could suggest that you keep them in your bedroom, so if they smell they only stink out your room, not the rest of the house. Good luck : )

I have two pet mice. Thye only cost 1.99 and they are not white with red eyes. Try fancy mice, they coome in colors and don't look as scary to most people. Thye can go in an aquarium or a small cage. Plus, they eat everything from the tops of carrots to watermelon rinds.

Tell them it wont eat much. i had mice dont get 2 they have babys like crazy. get 1 they like it better when its 1 because the 1 gets all the attention i had so many babys i had to give mine all up to the pet store so tell your parents you only want 1 lil mouse. they are easy to take care of too but for your own sake just get 1 there really cute lil pets too!

They are so cute but they do stink & are messy little critters. They would be cheaper than a dog or cat & a lot easier when you go on holidays as you can leave them with a friend to look after,
all I can suggest is to keep asking.
when its your birthday etc say you want nothing but mice
in the end they may give in
good luck

Forget the mouse, too small and too smelly, get a rat.

Rats are very intelligent, they are clean (will poo in one corner and sleep in the other) so they dont smell, are very friendly and quite entertaining, and they will eat anything you give them.

Seriously, rats are fantastic pets, i have owned many and highly reccomend them.

Just make sure its female as the males tend to mark their territory.
