I treat mine like my own child. What kinds of crazy stuff do you do for your dog?

Our little guy is basically treated like a person. He eats what he wants in addition to his dog food. He has millions of toys. He has his own bed and still sleeps with us too. He communicates quite well what he wants us to do.

I am glad to see so many people on here tell about how spoiled and well treated their dogs are. You get so tired of hearing the bad, abusive things that people do to animals.

This is more in reply to Jakie's answer. Feeding your dog hamburgers once a week?!?!?!?! The best treat for a dog is one made for dogs. If you continue to feed your dog human junk food you could end up with a dog who has pancreatitis, and thats just the start. Obesity in dogs leads to heart and joint problems, among other things. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and although my dogs would love to eat a hamburger, I find that a pigs ear, rawhide bone or even a little liver treat is enough to keep them happy. The kinder thing is to take them to a dog park for a run around with some new friends. Healthy options make them happy too.

Well, we are owned by eight basset hounds and they like plain Mickey D burgers with cheese and no sauce; they like vanilla ice cream; they have pads in my husbands classic chevy so they can lord over each other and today he installed ducting from our heater to their hang out, so they would be comfortable in winter. Its a small price to pay to live with these amazing little kids, like living with a group of cartoon characters; they have feelings, personalties, pride and joy.

Of course, don't think we don't treat people with the same passion; it is a privilege to be here and we should make the journey better for anyone crossing our path.

The other thing, the person who spoke of "don't feed burgers" and do feed pig ears does need to know that pig ears and raw hide can get stuck in an animals gut; real sad when you lose one because you gave it a greenie or rawhide; talking from experience and it will break your heart. Give em a treat now and then, no one said to kill them with food! Come on, all things with balance; I am so tired of people being so lousy negative like they have the only answer in the world.

Absolutely!!! She is part of the family. We give her eggs & cheese on weekends and a denture bone (which she loves) every night. We spoil her totally. No vet bill is to high, we walk her rain or shine, and we ensure she gets a proper diet. Ok weekends we go a little crazy but why not!

I have two small dogs. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. They are so spoiled. I take them for rides in my car, go to the groomers alot, constantly buying and bringing home new toys, and treats for them. They sleep with me and sit beside me while I watch TV. I even put them in the swimming pool with me. (not at the same time, I can only watch one at a time.) Yes, I do treat them like my babies.

Yup. I give it table scraps :-). He loves it. He sits under the table during meals, and he gets lots of love, attention and EXCERSIZE! (he's a lab). He has Bright Orange vests for hunting season. :). He gets all these toys, sticks, and bones, that he chews up in seconds, and he CANNOT eat dry dog food. EW! i give him my own homemade meals with liver, sardine, pork, and lots of other yummy things. He is never bored. He has his own bed, and i leave the radio on for him while i'm away. He saves me SO many times from ackward situations, and he loves me back. That's all i ask.

food, shield, water, play and exercising, some obedience and consistent with probability getting to know some tricks would be desirable pampering for any canine. in case you p.c. to pamper her much extra, teach her agility, freestyle dance or despite interest you the two savour

My dog has a monogrammed pet bed, and goes out to a dog-friendly bistro with me from time to time, where I end up buying too many doggie snacks.
