Pooping is a way a timid or possibly scared snake indicates it wants to be left alone. I have a milk snake that does it too if anyone else is around when I pick him up. Just wash yourself off and hold it calmly until it begins to relax. You may need to hold it at least 1-2 times a week if it continues to be poopy or nervous.

My tortoise poops too but only when my sister comes over!

I have a corn snake also but she's a biter. I calm her down same as the milk snake until they are calm enough to hold and
absorb your body heat, which many snakes like to do.

If the corn snake is young and/or not handled frequently, when someone handles, it will let go whitish liquid. If it pooped brown solid poop on you, then it was really alarmed. Have been selling corn snakes 11 years. Try handling the snake more often, let the snake crawl on you instead of making a grab for it right away.

If it smelled very strongly it was a defensive movement. If it was just plain poop it was a simple bowel movement. Other than that the only thing it means is that you got pooped on by a snake.
