I was cleaning up my guinea pig, (cleaning his cage, giving him his monthly bath), and i was clipping his nails before i put him in the sink for a bath. And as i was cutting, he jerked at the last moment. I swore all i did was cut the tip that time, but he started to bleed. I grabbed a septic pad and numbed his paw (i think!), but
will he be really sore in the morning, if the septic pad wears off? How long will it take to heal? Will there be anything i can do to ease the pain? Should i wait until the wound heals to give him the bath? (I use soap and water)

don't worry my mum and even a vet did this to my Guinea pigs, i just cuddled them loads, gave them something to eat and placed some tissue around the nail and made sure it had stopped bleeding before putting them back in the cage. Your Guinea pig will be fine i used to worry bout it. If it does look a bit dirty clean it gently. maybe delay his bath for a day or two just for it to heel up a bit.

Ever had a hangnail or cut your own nail too short? It feels a bit like that, painful but not excruciating, just more annoying than anything. It will be fine in a day or so. Styptic pads do not really numb the area, they just help to stop the bleeding.

I would wait 1-2 days to bathe him just to be on the safe side, but if all you did was get a few drops of blood, you can bathe him right away, it should be clotted and scabbed over enough by now. Good luck with your guinea pig!

Happens all the time, don't worry.
The septic only stops the bleeding, it doesn't help with pain, but it's OK, it probably doesn't hurt that bad.
He should be fine in the morning.
Leave the bath until tomorrow. Just to be sure the scab won't wash off and it won't start bleeding again.

Do not worry he will be fine, in a little pain yes, as long as the bleeding has as long as the bleeding has stopped, let him go about his normal routine, I would just keep the cage extra clean for a few days,
