They will go with sharks, but not with catfish. Here is a good compatibility chart.

i never had problems mixing tetras with sharks and catfish...sharks are peaceful fish and most catfish are also, you just have to make sure the tetras cant fit in their mouth and you should have no problems.

No.what will happen if you do that, is that the sharksilver or the cat fish will eat the tetra.its best not to try.
