I have a retile that is used to cold night climates of about 50 degrees, I have no problem keeping him warm the light puts off enough warmth, I Just cant think of how to bring the temp down. It is normally between 75 and 80 but at night i need it to drop to about 50 degrees farenheit.

I have a pitbull who is so excited when me or my husband comes home, jumping up & down & sometimes nipping at our hands. What would be the best thing to do to teach her not to do that besides swatting at her to get down & yelling at her when I know she clearly does not understand.

Our 2 german shepherd dogs will have full bowls of food all day, but don't eat it until I get home. I'm not sure if they prefer to eat at night or if it's something else, but it seems that even if I come home reallllly late, they still don't eat until I get there... Anybody have any clues as to why they do this??

I heard a yellow lab was more mellow than either a black or chocolate lab. I also heard that a chocolate lab was more high strung? Is any of this true? I do know (from experience) that golden retrievers have a very loving and gentle nature. I also owned a black lab for 8 years who was very playful and loyal up until his death at age 12. Thanks for your input.

I have a 6 gal nano cube and the pump seems to have broke. It won't push any water and I'm worried about the fish making it 24hrs. What do you guys think?

When my dog drinks from his water bowl, he sometimes will stick his paw in the bowl and sort of scrape the bottom of the bowl then will continue to drink....he can't want more water can he. I was also thinking that he sees his reflection in the water and maybe it trips him out......I hope he doesn't hear voices.....your thoughts.

I live in south east Asia, have no vet nearby, question is,
my dalmation got out the compound yesterday and was bitten on the head by a crazed dog, the other dog gor away, so I don't know if he caried rabies or not.
What are some of the signs I have to whatch for in my dog, if he becomes rabbit, how many days before I see signs, and what are those signs, how many days before I can safely let my kids play with our dog again.

I don't want a dog - I wouldn't hurt them but people are always telling me I NEED one!!! I am disabled, have a wonderful cat & am happy.....My Mom used to breed Rotts & I trained them....I think that is why people always try to get me to take them, I even had someone drop a sick lab behind my fence when I was about to go on a trip!!! By the time I got back he was unsavable & I felt guilty!!!
How can I tell people I do not want their dogs that they are sick of???

i live in apt and theres several stray cats, yes theyre stray, that have scratched hoods of cars while jumping on or off. im on long waiting list to get live animal trap from animal control. hav tried mothballs but they roll away or moisture in air disenergrats them. also put cayanne pepper flakes around cars, didnt help. does anyone have ideas how to keep cats off our cars? please help
