The best pet for anyone is never the same answer. The pet that is best for you could be anything from a parrot to a hamster. It depends on how much time you have to spend with a pet. Some pets can go without much attention. (Like snakes are only fed once a week.) Then there are quite a few animals that need attention every day and require daily care and time to be spent with them.
I suggest for you to figure out what kind of pet you want/need, is to look up something you are interested in online. Read up on what interests you and think about what you read. Decide where you have the time and or resources to keep that pet happy. A happy pet means a happy owner. :)

It really depends on the person getting the pet--their lifestyle, especially. For instance, if you live in a high rise and have a job that keeps you away 60 hours a week, a dog would be a poor choice.
But I think cats are purrfect. They come housetrained, they keep themselves clean, if you get them on dry food you can go away for a weekend and not have to worry about boarding them. A few caveats, however: First, spay/neuter. Second get them young (around 8 weeks is ideal) and don't let them go out. Yes, cleaning the box is nasty, but cats that are allowed to go outside, even just sometimes, have a life expectancy 10 years less than cats that are kept in. My vet verified this fact. Third, if the cat is going to be home alone most of the day, best to adopt 2 kittens from the same litter, so they can amuse each other.
I've had at least one cat in my household since age nine, except when I was in college and living in the dorm. Right now I have 3, plus a doberman. At one point, when I was married, and had a kid at home, we had 5 cats, 2 dogs, and a ferret.

Yours-the one(s) you love-----all animals(domesticated) cats, dogs, bunnies, ferrets, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters and so on make good pets and there is not one that is the best pet--they all are the best. I have 1cat-Sweetie who is my best cat pet and named sweetie for she has a sweet personality, never shown any meanness but that's how I raised her, 1-dog,Blondie a grown stray Lab mixed with Huskie has 1 blue and 1 brown eye and when he first came was skinny and so scared but now is healthy with a glossy coat and always looks like he's smiling, 1 Rabbit, Bunny, sshe is now 12 years old(human years)showed up in my yard and with a lot of patience managed to catch her and she's all love-has a room that I've bunny proofed,1 rabbit,Precious-a brown lop eared rabbit who is 9 human years-a lady had him when he was just approx 7 weeks but didn';t want him and just put him outside-the neighborhood kids caught him and brouht him to me-because his ears flop looks more like a puppy, always happy. I love all my pets and they love me for I take good care of them, educate myself to their needs and then provide Each has their own personality and I could not tell you which one is the best-they all are All my pets needed a home, has been that way all my life and maybe that's why I always am so close to them and they are to me-they know I saved them

Its hard to say. I love all animals. It really depends on what your looking for in a pet and what you like best.It also depends on how much time you'll be able to spend with them. I suggest anything! Dogs, Cats, Reptiles, Fish, Birds, Rodents, or Horses. they are all great animals.

Rabbits, they are quiet, they don't get sick of pellets as easily as dogs can. You can have really small pygmy rabbits to large rabbits the size of cats, depending on which breed you get. They are relatively low mainteance, their poop is small and circular, so its easy to clean up, and it doesn't smell, unless they have diarrhea or something. Plus you can use their poop as fertilizer for your plants. The only problem is that they might chew on things too much, and that they shed their fur easily.

Cats, they are trainable, and they clean themselves. They're mostly friendly, unless you're unlucky and get psycho kitty. Plus they aren't stinky. Dogs are cute as can be, but they require a lot of care.
