Okay my pit bull is an outside dog and he has a fenced area in our yard and the neighbors have a husky about ten minutes ago my dog was chewing on a bone and the husky got close and i guess he wanted the bone , my dog had warned him by growling and the dog stuck his paw in thru the fence and my dog like many dogs is food aggressive and he bit the dog one the leg and i think he bled cuz he was limping and crying. The owner came out and checked out her dog , then called her daugter and her daughter told me"did you make your dog bite my dog?' i said no then she said" yes you did cuz i saw you" i was like no i dont even know how to do that and if i did know how i wasnt even in his fence area.should i tell my parents about this? O yea and last year their dog died on our lawn and they thought we killed it and then they poisoned my dog, how do we konw this our neighbor saw her giver her rat poison. Should i report this to someone ? if so who?and also my dog has all his shots and thier dog

I was at a local fish store the other day and I noticed the fish tanks were amazing! Call it Fish tanks in HD! I asked the workers what the heck do you guys do? He said oh it's the filter we use pond filters instead of fish tank filters.

Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

My fish tank is a 55gallon we use only the best food. We watch the nitrate, amonia and PH levels constantly. We add water clearing chemicals but still it's not as clear as I would like. We even purchased upgraded lights instead of the ugly yellow/white that would come witht he tank. Now, we still have the same filter that was included with the tank when we purchased it.

So my question to all of you... Do we try this pond filter and remove the fish tank filter or do we purchase a higher grade filter?

Thank you!

Trust me, I'm a cat lover. I've owned them my whole life. But I was curious. Wild housecats are running wild all over the US, destroying native wildlife, and depleting other species' food supplies. Hunting free roming housecats in the wild could help this problem. You can always say; "We could just find homes for all of these cats", but deep down you know that this would not be practical, and the cats that were taken in would never be adopted due to their temperments. They would end up being destroyed anyway. So, should hunting them be legal?

I just read someones answer that Heartguard can do this. I never heard that before. The alternative of not doing heartworm prevention seems worse than a possible nuerological side effect. Is this true?

i'm not being flippant- This is a genuine question.
My parents have got a border collie, who theyve had for years, for the most part he is lovely, but every now and then he will literally go psychotic!, he snarls and snears and goes to attack people- it's sometimes quite scary, particullarly because its usually over nothing.
He was rescued from a begger as a tiny pup- and apparantly his mum was the same (so we were told).
My partner had a b/c as a kid and said she was just the same.
is it a character trait to these dogs?

About 3 weeks ago my 4 yr. old male Siberian Husky collapsed. He wouldn't(couldn't) get up. It seemed to be his hind end. He also wouldn't eat. I called my vet who is a friend of mine and rushed him to her. She kept him for 2 days and did bloodwork. She originally thought it was Addisons disease, since his symptoms mimicked those of Addisons. She gave him a steroid shot and said to take him home, keep him inside and just watch his behavior and see what happens. She said that if it were Addisons that he would "crash" again. She had wanted to do bloodwork again after the steriods were out of his symptoms, and we were going to do it today, but about 4 days ago he made a complete turn around. He is eating good, hyper, getting into stuff, trying to climb on the furniture. I called her and she said that knowing this we can rule out Addisons, and she thinks that is was a mild heat stroke, due the the temp. being high this month. Anyone else had a dog do anything like this.?

I have owned betta fish for several months. I have a desire to build on what I have. I don't have much more room to expand in. I already have a large, established indoor garden in my room (18 different pots with about 40-50 plants total). I want to add to my aquariums. I have three betta fish each in a different one gallon bowl. What are a few small compataible tank mates for my betta fish? I want to get a few neon tetras. Are they compataible? If they are not compatiable can neon tetras live without filtratration in a one gallon bowl? I don't have a lot of funds to work with (I am a college student). Also does anyone know if the neon tetras they sale at wal-mart are healthy and happy? Or is there somewhere else to aquire healthy neon tetras? I know all about raising bettas and caring for them (I researched bettas for about two years before buying one) but neon tetras and where to buy them is new to me. Are there any good sites on neon tetras? Thanks for any help.

Hello, i was just kind of wondering if i got a leash and collar for my 2 kittens would they love it outside so much they would run out the door if i kept it open for the slightest bit. I love the cats to death and id love to walk them around the block cause they love birds and stuff but they may get too used to being outside? Has anyone else done this.
Ps. They are both really small kittens about half my arm, indoor cats not declawed ( thank you lord) talking to my parents about soft paws, going to do helluva lot of chores to prevent them from having no fingers.
Side question along with this one( I dont do these very much) is just a lil fact id like to know is that when my male cat gets ready to pounce on his prey, he shakes his behind a little but my female cat doesnt she just runs head on?

Thankyou very much
